Place of Birth: Bismarck, North Dakota

Age: 80

Linda Estelle Holte (Wahl), cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 11, 1943, in Bismarck, ND, to Allan and Mildred Wahl, Linda grew into a remarkable woman whose life was a beacon of dedication, love, and education.

A proud graduate of Bismarck High School in 1961, Linda pursued her passion for knowledge and service by earning a bachelor's degree in Library Science and a Master's Degree in Education. It was during her tenure at the North Dakota Highway Department that she met the love of her life, Bob. Their love story began there and led to a beautiful marriage on May 20, 1967, a union that flourished for 56 years, filled with shared dreams, laughter, and an ever-growing family.

In her early years, Linda devoted herself to being a stay-at-home mom, nurturing her four children with love and wisdom. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her home as she later returned to school to become a pre-school special education teacher, a role in which she made a profound impact on many young lives.

Linda was the beloved mother of Jeff (Marnie) of Fargo, North Dakota; Blake (Diana) of West Fork, Arkansas; Amber (Corey) Larson of Shevlin, Minnesota; and Tim (Shelby) Holte of Stanley, North Dakota. Her legacy of love continues through her eight grandchildren, Hayley, Hunter, Hayden, Ethan, Zach, Samantha, Courtney, & Sadie, and two bonus grand-kids, Stormy and Skylar, as well as her five great-grandchildren, Dexter, Echo, Luka, Brinley, and Finley. Each of them was a source of immense joy and pride for Linda.

Family vacations, playing bridge, engaging with her coffee club, the Pantyhose Mafia, and delighting in the companionship of her pets and books, Linda lived a life filled with joy and cherished moments. Her dedication to her family was unmatched, finding her greatest happiness in the laughter and presence of her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Darwin, Duane, and Thomas. Linda's memory will be forever cherished by her loving husband, Bob, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us in celebrating Linda's legacy of love, education, and family. She will be missed more than words can express but will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

To all of Linda's family we offer our condolences, along with prayers of comfort and peace. We have some very happy memories of Linda from when we were in Stanley. She was a wonderful person who accepted others for who they were. She was fun to work with at the church in various activities. She is now resting in total peace with our Heavenly Father and Mother.

My sincere sympathy, thoughts and prayers to the entire Holte Family. Linda was a remarkable woman in so many settings. I have many memories of her-A parent when her children were students in my elementary classroom, our poker club, golfing, water fitness classes at the aquatic center, community and education committees, and much more. God bless her memory and all of you.
