I’ve known Osmond my whole life. I will never forget the day he came in the post office grinning from ear to ear. He came to my station and said they named my great grandson after me he was so proud. Sympathy to the Skogen

I got to know Ozzie and Dorthy through taking care of their daughter. The devotion these two had to their daughter was amazing. Osmond you were so patient and kind I always looked forward to seeing you and to talk about how the farming was going. Rest In Peace.

So sorry for you lose, I know Mom and Ozzie were confirmed together, 1 month apart in age. I have wonderful memories of Phyllis and Maryln together in band and I believe piano recitals. GM and GP Skogen lived next door and all 3 of us children had pictures on our front lawn with GM Skogen holding us as infants. Dad entered Bethel prior to Phyllis passing, Ozzie, Dad, Dorthy, Mom and I were reconnected since their move to Williston at just the right time. We frequently visited.
Great examples of community, faith and family.
Hugs and prayers, Debbie Bingeman

Gary Alvina and family...So sorry to hear that we lost Uncle Ozzie....One of my favorite Uncles....Dont think I ever saw him not have a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye...Loved the obituary guys...That was Ozzies life in a nut shell and so enjoyed reading it...Definitely will miss seeing him but he lived a full life and is now ready to rest with the rest of them...What a reunion that must of been...Just remember all those cherished memories you have of him and know that nobody can take them away and soon you will be able to smile when you think of him...So let your family and friends help you through this difficult time and God bless all of you and love and hugs coming from Nebraska

I was fortunate to meet Dorthy and Osmond when I cared for their precious Phyllis at Bethel. I worked as a CNA and in The Activity room at night, when they would come down while I was dong my cleaning and charting. They taught me so much about love, family and doing what is right. I was invited into their home many times, for coffee and treats and just to visit. They loved to show me some of their prized possessions, pictures of kids, and all of Dorthy's handiwork and canning. Osmond was an old school guy, with family values, loved the land, valued education and hard work. My sympathy is with you all during this time. You all had a great role model with him.

gary and alvina and family-sorry for your loss but it's hard not to think about what a great life osmond had and the family he had. you were blessed to have a dad and grandpa who was quite a guy. i first met osmond as a young john deere guy here in stanley in the late 70's when he bought a lawn mower from us. the was the beginning of quite a long green line from us. over the years it seemed like you guys weren't customers-you were family and great friends. take care and we will stop in for a pinochle game.

So sorry for your loss Gary, Alvina, and family. Ozzie had a heart of gold; so patient, kind, and caring. He loved his family and had so many friends. The obituary was a nice tribute to a very special man.
I am so blessed to have your parents as my godparents. At my dad's funeral, Ozzie came up to me and said, "What happened to your red hair?" He had quite a memory. We are still using the set of kitchen utensils we got from your parents for our wedding.
Treasure the memories and may God wrap his loving arms around you during this difficult time. Love you. Hugs and prayers and so sorry we can't be with you. We just found out and we are in Arizona. I would really like to have a copy of the memorial folder. If you could send it to PO Box 153, Parshall, that would mean so much to me.

Gary and Alvina, Chris, John, Lindsay and families,
Just wanted all of you to know that I am thinking of you today as you say “good-bye” to your dad and grandpa.
In reading his obituary I was made aware of the many changes he witnessed in his long and remarkable 96 year life - many highs as well as some lows. The years of caring for Phyllis could not have been easy for either Ozzie or Dorthy.
The one constant, however, that was always there for him was the support of his loving family. Your care has been remarkable, Gary. Your family always made your parents such a part of your lives. I was there for some of the celebrations and I remember the smiles of joy on their faces.
Cherish your happy memories. I love you all.
