Joni, Cliff and family! The love that one feels for a mother and grandma is unconditional. No matter the age we lose our mom/grandma, she is the fruit of the family and the pain isn't any easier. I remember meeting Vernie years ago and I can honestly say she was full of spunk. Please know that your all in our thoughts and prayers at such a difficult time.

Vernie was the wonderful lady right across the street from me growing up. She always had a smile and kind rebut if we had done something wrong. She was one of the special ladies of 13th Ave! Heaven just got another Angel deluxe!

Joni and family -

Thinking of you during this time of your great loss of a special lady and someone I would call a friend. I remember the days when we lived by your folks on 14th Avenue and when all the neighbor ladies would get together for our daily coffee. Many great conversations and lots of coffee! You had wonderful parents. Treasure your memories of happier times.

What a special lady. Vernie was one of a kind. A person not afraid to live. Not afraid to love. Not afraid to set you straight, if need be. She will be missed. Todays devotion reminded me of her and is fitting. “I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.”
??Psalms? ?4:8? ?NKJV?? Vernie HAS lain down in peace. She rests with other saints now. She does indeed dwell safely with the Lord. She is experiencing the Easter promise in real that we will celebrate remotely in one week. Save us a spot Vernie. See you later.

We have been out of town for a week and was saddened to read about Vernie's death. We had such great fun bowling couples together with her and Obert. We even won league championship one year. SURPRISE....We weren't always serious about the game...well-maybe jim was. Thoughts and prayers for the whole family...she was blessed to have such a great family to take care of her. We will send a memorial to the Eckert Youth Home.

To Vernie's family - my thoughts and prayers are with you all. When I was in High School I worked with Vernie at Joseph's. She was a joy to work with and I always enjoyed spending time with her.
