Sandy and girls,
I am so saddened to hear of Michael's passing. I wish I'd gotten to visit with him one more time. I got to know Michael when I worked for the Extension Office and he's been a favorite of mine ever since. I will miss our chats any time he'd call or stop in my office. He always cracked us up when he'd call as the other gal had the hardest time understanding him and how he pronounced my name. She finally got so she recognized his voice and would give him a hard time. He'd always ask about my mom and if I'd been to see my cows, how my horse was, if I'd been hunting lately, you name it. Conversations with him were never short but I always enjoyed every minute.
May your memories of this wonderful man comfort you in the days ahead. Sending hugs and prayers to you! He will be missed by many.

So sorry for the loss of Michael. I feel so glad that I was able to know Michael and work with him. I have so many great memories of Michael that I will cherish. I truly believe that he is in heaven free from pain and suffering. I will miss him. Hugs and prayers for you all.

Sandy, Hanna, Clara and Family,
I have no words other than I am so very sorry and my heart is so sad too. I really didn't know Mike until this last year and all I have to say is wow...I am so glad our paths crossed. What an inspiring, funny, witty, gentleman! I will miss him and can only imagine how you and your girls will miss this fella! He really was one of a kind and I'm feeling so blessed to have gotten to know him and wished I would've known him longer.
All my love, prayers and hugs to you all. Sandy; you and your family hold a special place in my heart and so does Mike. I pray God's strength, love and peace surround you and embrace you right now and in the days to follow. We will sure miss that Danish Soldier. Love Tracy

He was a true gentleman and a lot of fun, we had many conversations at the clinic, and I will always remember him as a man that truly enjoyed life, appreciated all opportunities he had in this country and one that cherished his girls. My heart aches for your loss. I had the opportunity to get to know Mike when we took the Leadership class together in 2013, what a genuinely kind person. He most certainly was the life of our party. I appreciated his sincerity, great humor and knowledge of the community he came to love. I hope your many wonderful memories (I imagine they're endless and full of humor!) comfort you always. Thinking of you all.
