Eva Fedora was born in Wilton, North Dakota on June 17, 1921, daughter of Catherine and Fred Omafray. She was raised in that community, graduating from high school in 1940, before going on to Capital Commercial College. Her first job was working for the Auditor's office at the State Capital in Bismarck, ND. She worked there until she was united in marriage to Joseph “Joe” Fedora, who she met through her roommate who was Joe's cousin. After their marriage on June 8, 1946, they lived and farmed in Gorham, ND until 1956. They moved to Fairview, Glasgow and then to Sidney in 1959. While raising her four boys, her main focus was her family, church, and involvement with the St. Matthew's Altar Society, along with interests of baking, reading, gardening and staying in physical shape by walking and doing yard work. After Joe's death she took pleasure in traveling and remained involved with church, family and friends.
Eva died Friday evening, February 25th at Valley Health Care Center in Billings, from complications after suffering a stroke, in the company of family.
Surviving her are: her sons, Mark of Hood River, OR, Gregg of Laurel, MT, Tim (Janet) of Gilbert, AZ and Pat of Mill Creek, WA; her sister, Genevieve (Jack) Johnson of Mandan, ND; her three brothers, William (JoAnn) Omafray of Mobridge, SD, MacDonald Omafray of Wilton, ND and Martin Omafray of Colorado Springs, CO; and her 7 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband-Joe.
