Age: 80

Leo P. Fischer was born on March 17, 1936, in Sidney, MT to parents, John and Margareta (Hirsch) Fischer. He grew up and attended schools in Sidney. Leo married Ruth Redlich, and to this union he had two children, Jayson and Joleen. In 1977, Leo married Carrie Campbell in Sheridan, WY. They shared 38 years together in the Fairview/Sidney area. They owned and operated the Fischer Pet Shop and Leo also worked for Richland County Road Crew until he retired in 1998.
Leo enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taking his boat to Fort Peck. He also was in the Army National Guard retiring after 20 years of service.
Surviving him are: his wife, Carrie Fischer, Fairview, MT; son, Jayson (Linda) Fischer, Greenfield, WI; daughter, Joleen (Jim) Freels, Owenville, IN; grandchildren, Matthew, Marissa, Bethany, and Abigail.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; two sisters, - Cecilia and LaVerne and two brothers- Bill and Joe.
Leo died early Wednesday morning, July 20, 2016, at the Friendship Villa Care Center in Miles City, MT.

Leo was a fun inspired man with a million stories. He was always one to help. It was a sad day when leo became infirm and no longer to do the things he loved to do.He will be missed as a friend.
