Linda Ella Pritzkau
January 4, 1945 - February 21, 2017

Place of Birth: Eureka, South Dakota
Residence: Sidney, MT
Age: 72

Linda Ella Bauer Pritzkau was born January 4, 1945 in Eureka, SD. She was the eldest daughter of Edwin and Ella Bauer. She passed away on Tuesday evening, February 21, 2017, at the Sidney Health Center after battling cancer.
Linda grew up on a farm in Wishek, ND. She was a hard worker, helping her parents with farm duties and even driving a tractor when she was 4 years old. Church was a very important part of Linda’s life. She attended the Methodist church and was confirmed and baptized with them.
Linda graduated from Wishek High School in 1963 and met her future husband, James Pritzkau, later that year on New Year’s Eve. Six months later, June 6, 1964, they were married. Last summer they celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary together.
In the fall of 1964, James and Linda moved to Williston, ND for James to work in the oil fields. Mid 1965 they moved to Sidney where they raised their children and built their life.
Linda was a devoted wife and mother. Not a sweeter or gentler woman would you find. She raised her children with love and support. As they got older she worked out of the home, waitressing, working at a daycare and ice cream shop, and later at the Sidney Health Center, where she retired in 2005. Linda took great care of her husband as well for many years as his health issues arose. She took great pride in her home and yard. You could always see her outside painting or working in the garden or flowerbeds. Linda’s grandchildren and more recently great granddaughter were a source of much happiness to her.
Linda is survived by: her husband, James Pritzkau; Sidney, MT; her son, Blaine (Mylinda) Pritzkau, Frenchtown, MT; her daughter, Cindy (Dave) Korf, Billings, MT; her sister, Shirley (John) Anderson, Belgrade, MN; her grandchildren, Rory (Shelby) Pritzkau, Williston, ND, Rand Pritzkau, Frenchtown, MT, and Mikayla Korf, Billings, MT; and 3 month old great granddaughter, Madison Rae Pritzkau.
Linda was preceded in death by: her parents, Edwin and Ella Bauer; and by numerous aunts and uncles, family and friends.

I was Linda's teacher in the rural school she attended.I believe she was a fourth grader. I remember a sweet girl who wanted to please everyone. I knew her parents ...they moved to town in their later years. I lost track of Linda after she graduated from High School. Sorry for your loss.
