Tanner Allen Seidel
October 4, 1999 - May 21, 2017

Place of Birth: Williston, ND
Residence: Piedmont, SD, formerly of Williston, ND
Age: 17

Tanner Seidel, 17, of Piedmont, SD, formerly of Williston, ND, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 at his Piedmont residence.

Tanner Allen Seidel was born to Craig Seidel and Jennifer Zaste on October 4, 1999 in Williston, ND. He met his adopted mother, Stephanie Mickolio when he was just a baby. He was very close with his father, adopted mother, Stephanie and his little brother Adrik.

Tanner was his dad’s little helper before he started school. He would ride with his dad in his septic truck to go pump tanks. His dad’s customers always enjoyed seeing him play while his dad worked.

Tanner attended District #8 School from Kindergarten to 6th grade. He then moved to Piedmont, SD, where he attended middle school and high school in Sturgis, SD. Tanner enjoyed hands on activities in school. He was in track as a freshman and excelled at distance running. As a sophomore, he enjoyed his machining class and auto tech classes. In his junior year, he got his first car and like most teenage boys, he had to install a stereo system. He always wanted to take his own car, when going somewhere, instead of his dad’s car, because dad’s car didn’t “Bump” loud enough. Tanner liked his Auto Tech class when he would be able to bring in one of his dad’s rare sports cars to work on. His classmates would be very eager to help change oil or rotate tires.

Tanner loved amusement park rides and traveling as well. Roller Coasters were his favorite, followed by the 3-D rides. His latest trip was to New York and Washington, D.C., where he was able to see the Statue of Liberty and some great museums. Tanner was very interested in learning the mechanics of how things worked and the history behind them.

Tanner’s true passion was gaming “Tanman_The_ Gamer”, as he was known by. He would get on-line with his friends all over the world and play different games for hours. He even had his own “You Tube” page and would post videos on it. Many people looked up to him because of his skill. One of the most important people was his little brother, Adrik, whom he would play with and help him out with his games. Tanner even had purchased a new gaming system for his brother with his own money for Christmas last year, so his brother could be part of his group. Tanner was a very selfless person. He always seemed to be worried about his friends or his brother, Adrik.

Tanner would give his brother rides on his four wheeler or his dad's RZR whenever he could. Or, he would go hiking and swimming with his friends even if the weather wasn’t that great or the water was cold. He always had a funny side and it showed in some of his pictures he would get caught in. He was loved by many and will be missed by even more.

Tanner is survived by his father Craig Seidel; his adopted mother Stephanie Mickolio; his brother Adrik and his mother, Jennifer Zaste; his uncles Corey Seidel, Brandon Mickolio and Brent Unger; his aunt Kristi Bartlett; his grandparents Leroy Seidel and Steve and Diana Roy; his cousins Kendall Krodel, Dominic Seidel, Dusti Seidel and Dalton Seidel.

He was preceded in death by his uncle Curtis Seidel; great gramma Hilda Seidel; great grandpa Emil Seidel; great gramma Darlene Unger; great aunt Betty Ann Stein; aunt Julie Clark and cousin Amy Clark.
