Charles Jennings, 54, of Watford City, formerly of Tampa, FL, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 12, 2017 at the McKenzie County Hospital in Watford City.

Charles will be sent to Tampa, Florida for graveside services which will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Orange Hill Cemetery, Tampa, FL.

Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home of Watford City is assisting the family.

Charles was born on June 8, 1963 at the Santa Anna Naval Base in California, the son of Charles and Gloria (Rife) Jennings. He was raised and educated in Toledo, Ohio, graduating from Libby High School. He obtained his mechanical engineering degree and and lived in Tampa, Florida. Charles was a master mechanic for over 35 years.

On October 4, 1998, Charles was united in marriage to DawnDannette Van Syckle in Brooksville, Florida. They came to North Dakota in 2012 and loved working in the oilfield. He was presently employed by Great Plains Gas and Compression at the time of his death.
Charles liked anything that went fast. Dirt bikes were his passion, along with off shore racing, fishing, boating and funny cars. Charles motto was “If it had an engine he could make it cooler and faster”. His favorite quote was “Bring it on, go fast, fly high or go home”.

Charles is survived by his wife, DawnDannette, of Watford City, his children, Michael Allan Jennings “Peepers” of California, Kayla Alyssia Clark “Bull Dog” currently serving in the Army in Fort Drum, New York, John Paul Jones, II “J.P.” of Watford City, Jarrod Robert-Todd Jennings “Poody” of Watford City, his grandchildren; Christopher James Jennings, Aaron Michel Jennings and Mari Grace Jennings all of Pennsylvannia, his beloved sister, Kassie Anderson of Ohio, his nieces, Jennifer and Shelby of Ohio, Heather Armor and Tasha Dunn of Tampa, FL, Nikkie Marie Hogan, Krystal Haren and Ashley Haren of Ohio, his nephew, Joshua Haren of Ohio and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Todd Jennings in 2002, his father, Charles R. Jennings in 2003, his mother Gloria W. Jennings in 2017 and his sister, Kimberly Haren in 2017.
