It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Donna Mae Frisinger
November 17, 1934 - July 16, 2017

Place of Birth: Rural Tolley, ND
Residence: Williston, ND, formerly of Tioga, ND
Age: 82

Donna Frisinger, 82, of Williston, ND, formerly of Tioga, ND, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, July 16, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at Bethel Lutheran Home in Williston. Her funeral arrangements are with Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home of Tioga.

Donna Mae (Atwood) Frisinger was born to Irvin and Bonnie (Ladd) Atwood on November 17, 1934 in rural Tolley, ND; where she was baptized and confirmed at the Trinity Lutheran Church. She attended school in Tolley. Donna reconfirmed her faith in Christ on July 14, 2017 by being baptized along with her great-grandson Carter Joseph (whom she named) by Pastor Steve Anderson and becoming a member of Epping Lutheran Church.

Donna was united in marriage to Carl Frisinger of Tioga, ND and to that union, four beautiful daughters were born; Paulette, Virginia, Cindy and Barbie.

She lived in the Tioga area for many years, moving from there to various other locations including Colorado, Alaska, Kansas, South Dakota and eventually returning to North Dakota. She took up residence in Williston and lived there for the remainder of her life.

Donna spent her life working many different occupations and was a hard worker, always going above and beyond the duties of the job at hand. It didn’t matter what it was, she always gave it her all. Her perseverance through life was what made her a woman of strong character with a heart filled with grace and acceptance of others.

Donna enjoyed crocheting afghans and each stitch was made with love for her children, grandchildren, great great grandchildren and others close in her heart. Donna was still crocheting on her last baby afghan for her newest great great-granddaughter (Preslee) just a week before her passing. This one may be the most precious as it was from her last stitches of love. Donna loved to bake and her chocolate chip cookies will be missed by many, she loved to cook big meals and one of the easiest dishes (a hot dish) was everyone’s favorite.

She enjoyed having a good time with family and friends for life was not always about work and you had to have fun. She shared many memories of going out dancing with her family. Donna loved spending time with family and having silly times with her grandchildren who brought her such great joy. The love she showed them will be etched in their hearts forever.

Donna had a compassionate heart and was a good listener, she always made things okay. Donna accepted you for who you were but still would provide you with her thoughts and suggestions.

“If you fall off, get up, and Get Back On”

Donna is a past member of White Earth Valley Saddle Club, Beaver Lodge, 4-H Club and Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aide.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy (Glenn) Greenlee of Tioga, ND, and Barbie (Daniel) Rodriguez of Williston, ND; son-in-law, Rod Westrum; sister-in-law, Eileen Atwood; grandchildren, Carson Dokken, Heather Greenlee, Holly (Greenlee) Halvorson, Hope (Greenlee) Midbo, Amber Greenlee, Brent Meyer, Bryce Meyer, Travis Velo, Isaac Rodriguez, Erica Nkada, Michael Thompson, Sarah Bila, Bob Westrum and Sharri Ulrich; 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and many cousins.

Donna Mae was a wonderful aunt. She had an amazing personality and her sense of humor was out of this world. I will always remember the good times we had together and how she was there to help me though the difficult times too .She was a mentor and friend to her many nieces and nephews. God bless her family at this heartbreaking time.

Donna and her family
My great, great grandma Donna is loved by so many and loved many many back. She was one of my favorite persons. I'm gonna miss the trips to grandmas for cookies, watching her fav Gunsmoke tv show, and even the naps on her couch while she crocheted away. Oh and the her hot dish NO ONE can beat grandmas hot dish! But most importantly I'm gonna miss having her to talk to and I can't wait till I'm able to again. We love you Donna Mae so so much

The Darkness will Pass
Once We Walk in His Light.
AMEN
-ME
I took this picture moments before I received word of my Grandmother Donna Frisinger ascending into His Eternal Love.

Although we come, although we go
With the seasons we still do not know
Time marches by
Faster than we know
Even though, It seems so slow
That last look in your eyes
Still makes my heart shine
As we're blown through these winds of time.
In my mind, I'm lost in you
Your love I feel, makes me new
The things we see are in the past
As we wear this mortal mask
This pain I feel, seems so surreal
Until the day will come when all's revealed
This loss we feel forever filled

With His Love,
Eternally we'll walk with You.

I thought of this for my Grandma Donna Frisinger...I Love You

I remember the day Donna brought Virginia home with the hope she could have some time with her loved ones. What a strong woman Donna was to make that flight that day with her daughter. Love to all the family and God Bless.
