Place of Birth: Glendive, Montana
Residence: Savage, Montana
Age: 67
Chuck was born on October 6, 1949, in Glendive, MT to Duane “Skeeter” and Shirley (Peterson) Reynolds. He grew up and attended school in Savage, MT. After graduation, he enlisted with the U.S. Navy and served six years. On August 8, 1975, he was united in marriage to Patricia “Pat” Dardis at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Savage. Pat and Chuck then made their home in Savage where they raised two children, Melissa and Ryan. Chuck worked as an electrician at the local coal mine. He retired in 2011. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Savage. Chuck passed away on Sunday afternoon, September 10, 2017, at his home in Savage surrounded by his family. Chuck loved spending time with his family and friends, whether it was in the boat fishing with his “honey”, embarking on silly adventures to unknown lands, enjoying a cup of coffee, watching football, or simply gathering around the table for a card game in which he would almost certainly win. He was a joy to be around and was an abundant provider of wonderful memories; perhaps one could call him a laugh-master extraordinaire. Chuck was a remarkable man who was certainly out of the ordinary. One could always anticipate an off-the-wall surprise from him, and he always appreciated a challenge. From his culinary curiosities and quirky craftsmanship, to his most elaborate costumes, you could always see the gears-a-turning and the sparkle in his eye when given the creative opportunity. Chuck had a deep appreciation for music. From Pavarotti and classical, to the toe-tappin’ tunes of his youth, he was often overwhelmed by the power of a perfect melody. He was one of the oldest tuba players to have ever played in the Savage High School pep band and he enjoyed every minute of it. He was an intelligent man with a plethora of information floating around in his head. As a result he had a love of trivia and challenged us often with random questions, “Chuck-isms” and quips. Let us never forget about the 3,000 year old honey found in Egypt, re-heated and perfectly preserved. Because, let’s face it, honey has an eternal shelf life as does his memory. Surviving him are: his wife, Pat Reynolds, Savage, MT; his son, Ryan Reynolds, Ft. Collins, CO; his daughter, Melissa (Jeremy) Barnett, Spearfish, SD; brothers, Jerry (Angie) Reynolds, Loveland, CO and Darin (Samree) Reynolds, Savage, MT; sisters, Carol Miller, Savage, MT and Kathy Reynolds, Sidney, MT; his mother-in-law, Virginia Dardis, Savage, MT; brother-in-law, Gary (Sherri) Dardis, Savage, MT; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents, father-in-law-Wayne Dardis, brother-in-law-Leroy Miller.
