Carolann Schroeder
June 12, 1940 - October 26, 2017

Place of Birth: Poplar, MT
Residence: Havre, MT, formerly of Culbertson, MT
Age: 77

Carolann was born on June 12, 1940, in Poplar to Clarence and Emma (Moran) Lambert. She was raised in Culbertson, and graduated from Culbertson High School in 1958. Following high school, Carolann attended X-ray Technician training in Great Falls, where she became a certified X-ray technician, and also where she met Paul Schroeder, whom she married April 20, 1963, in Great Falls. The couple had seven children over the next several years. Carolann remained home caring for the children and the house, as Paul was in the Air Force. The family moved first to Taiwan and then Flagstaff, AZ. When Paul was transferred to Alaska, Carolann moved back to Culbertson with her three children and one soon due. Paul was transferred to Virginia next, and Carolann and the four children joined him. Next was Billings for 6 years, and then Missoula for 18 months, before Paul retired, and the couple finally settled in Havre with their six children. One more was born, and the family was complete. Carolann worked at Woolworth’s for a short time, and then IGA in the floral department.

She enjoyed flowers, reading needlepoint, and crossword puzzles; but she loved her grandchildren, and spent time with them whenever she could.

Carolann was preceded in death by her husband Paul Schroeder; her grandson Joshua Schwartzkopf; her parents, Clarence and Emma; her sisters, Phoebe Larsen and Bernadette Raaum; her brothers, Joseph and Andy, and her infant brother Allen Lambert; her sister-in-law Betty Lambert; her brother-in-law Arlie Larsen; her niece Kathy Larsen; and her nephew Joseph Lambert.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Barbara) Schroeder of San Antonio, TX, Barbara “Sugar” Schroeder of Havre, Wade (Vera) Schroeder of Australia, Joseph Schroeder, Kelly (Tim) Schwartzkopf, Scott (Alisha) Schroeder and Tyler Schroeder, all of Havre; her grandchildren, Christopher, Heather, Peter, Tiffany, Sabrina, Patrick, Tylie, TJ, Arron, and Mason; her six great-grandchildren; her sister Dolly Lambert; her brothers Verle, Larry (Monica), Richard (Vonnie), and Dennis (Kathleen) Lambert; her brother-in-law Rolland Raaum; and numerous nieces, nephews, and adopted children.
