Earl Jensen, age 77, resident of Stanley, ND passed away December 14, 2017 in the Mountrail County Bethel Home after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Earl was born November 7, 1940 to Raymond and Marie (Bicker) Jensen in Powers Lake. He was raised in Tioga and graduated High School in 1958. He attended college in Fargo, ND.
Earl married Janet Lyson on July 1, 1962. They started their life together living in Tioga and worked for Signal Gas and Oil. Later they moved to New Town and finally, they settled on their present farm in the Stanley area, where they raised their two sons, Tony and Jeff.
Earl loved his life on the farm. He took pride in his cattle and buffalo. He always looked forward to his trips to Alaska to visit his brother, son, and grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye. He was active with the local gun club and enjoyed trapshooting around the state. Hunting and fishing were his main hobbies.
Earl is survived by his wife, Janet; sons, Tony and Jeff; daughter-in-law, Lucinda; grandchildren, Joey, Samantha, Jessica, and Holly Jensen; brothers, Douglas (Joann) Jensen, Steve (Patty) Jensen; sisters, Lucille (Gerry) Solberg, Charlene (Bob) Bangen; sister-in-law, Doreen Jensen.
Earl was preceded in death by his brother, Leslie.
Earls family would like to express their appreciation to the Mountrail County Bethel Home for their care given to Earl during his stay at the Home.

Condolence to Family , and Friends of Earl Jensen . Throughout Earl's life he always had pleasant mannerism that people were comfortable with. Our Classes time together with The Tioga Public High School Class of 1958 proved to be our very best of times. And Earl shared these best of times . Art Olson

My wife and I met Earl trap shooting in Minot and Stanley. He always made a point to come over and see how we were doing. Arlene always tried to squad with Earl in the handicap event as he was always fun to shoot with! Earl will be missed! we always looked forward to seeing him at a shoot. our condolences go out to his family and friends.

My deepest condolences to Janet and family with Earl's passing. I remember joining my father many times when I was little to go visit Earl and Janet in Stanley, and following along when they would go hunting. I know he will be missed dearly and live on through the memories in your hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
