Charles W. Bisbee, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point.

Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point, MT and Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home in Williston, ND have been entrusted with the arrangements.

Charles Wesley Bisbee, 83, passed away on February 14, 2018 at the Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point, MT with family and his buddy Two Bit at his side. Charles was born in the home of a midwife in Manitoba, Canada on March 2, 1934. At a young age he rode his horse to elementary school. His family later moved to Rolla, ND where he also attended school.

Charles enlisted in the U.S. Navy on June 20, 1952; served two four-year tours overseas and was honorably discharged on June 9, 1960. He worked in construction with Jacobson’s Construction and Owen Realty until he retired. Charles supervised the construction of many steel buildings throughout North Dakota and Montana.

On December 20, 1957, he married Irene Jane Tetrault in Williston, ND, where they raised their son, Loren James Bisbee. Irene passed away on July 4, 1986 from cancer.

Charles loved to raise and train horses and fiercely competed in chariot races in North Dakota and Montana. After retiring in from construction in 1987 he delivered the Williston Herald. In 1992 he moved to Montana to help Loren and Wendy (Johnson) with his two grandchildren, Renee and Michael Bisbee. He loved to take Michael to the Stockman Café for a big breakfast and visit.

In 1995 he met Barbara Grandchamp and they lived together north of Wolf Point until she passed away December 21, 2014.

Charles is survived by his son Loren (Vicki) Bisbee of Wolf Point, brother Rod (Karen) Bisbee and sister Linda Bisbee of Williston, ND, his granddaughter Renee (Justin) Bisbee of Billings, and special friend Andrew (Rayna) Schultes. He is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Irene Bisbee, his only grandson Michael Bisbee, his companion Barbara Grandchamp, his parents, his brothers Ronald and Donald Bisbee and special nephew Wes Bisbee.
