Darlene Grace Dahl, age 81 passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 10th, 2018 at Bethel Lutheran Home in Williston, ND. She was born September 1, 1936 in Moorhead, MN to Clarence & Grace (Johnson) Stallman. She devoted much of her time growing up caring for her brothers and sisters when her mother grew ill.

On May 29th, 1958 Darlene married Duane K. Dahl in Webster, SD. They had four children of their own; Kevin, Darla, Renee and Dana, along with taking in 2 of her first cousins; Allen and Michael Stallman. They moved around to several different cities during their time together, finally settling in Tioga, ND. After Duane passed, Darlene later moved to Williston, ND.

Darlene loved to cook and bake, often times she spent her days baking fresh bread and buns or frying up homemade doughnuts. She always made the best chewy chocolate chip cookies and the chocolate cake you couldn’t stay in the same room with in fear of eating the whole thing. Darlene also loved to sew and do crafts. She would make Christmas bulbs and dolls. She would even sew her girl’s clothes, which were done with such perfection that no one ever knew they were homemade.

In her younger years, Darlene enjoyed camping and fishing. Later in life, Darlene enjoyed going to the Casino and playing the slot machines, where more than several times luck was on her side. She also treasured spending time and seeing new pictures of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Darlene is survived by her brothers & sisters, Calryce, Ronnie, Gary, Gene, Calerence & Rena; her children, Darla, Renee and Dana; her 5 grandchildren
and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane; her son, Kevin; her brothers, Lenny, Art and Ted and her grandchild Tripp.
