Rose Berger was born to Ernest Berger and Edna Dittman on April 29, 1936 in Ray, North Dakota. She grew up on a farm in Epping, ND.

On November 2, 1968 Rose married Calvin Willard. Calvin passed away June 11, 1984. On August 18, 1986 Rose married Leonard Halvorson. Leonard passed away September 21, 1994.

She was known to be a public servant, Rose was the Mayor of Alamo, ND and volunteered with the fire department.

Rose baked goodies at Grandma Sharons and was a rural mail carrier at Alamo, ND.

She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Volpe of Yulee, FL; son, Keith (Roxanne) Willard of Tolley, ND; her stepson Ken Willard of Tolley, ND; her grandchildren, Megan Volpe of Jacksonville, FL, Olivia Almon of Yulee, FL, Tyler Willard of Tolley, ND, Andy Skalicky of Logan, ND, Ashley Skalicky of Minot, ND and 6 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters Bernita and Lois.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents and great grandparents, both husbands’, 3 brothers, 3 sisters and stepdaughter Linda Radamacher.

Rose was a lovely lady and I always enjoyed visiting with her. She married Leonard that just thrilled my Mom and Dad (Bud and Flo Christensen and me. They were so cute together.

Our deepest sympathy Darlene & Family on the loss of your Mom. Good memories of you & your Mom from Epping days. (We used to drive together to piano lessons, Darlene; remember , that was way back when).

So Sorry to hear about Rose. She was a very Good Baker at Grandma's. One of the favorites, I may add. Everyone loved Rose. You can be proud of ole Mom. Sorry we couldn't make the Funeral. We were in Bismarck for Penny's Very important Dr. appointments as she has F.M. R.A, and many other Arthritic diseases, if that is what you call them. Prayers and Hugs are with you. Grandma Sharon
