Dale Crimmins
December 29, 1959 - September 13, 2018

Place of Birth: White Earth, ND
Residence: Alexander, ND
Age: 58

Dale Roger Crimmins was born December 29, 1959, during the worst storm of the year. The roads were blocked and visibility was zero. His older brother, Frankie Dean, rode his horse to the neighbors for help. In the meantime, Dale’s father and sister, Joyce, delivered Dale, a healthy bouncing baby boy.
Dale attended elementary school in White Earth, Powers Lake Catholic School, Johnson’s Corner, and Watford City Public Schools, graduating in 1978. Dale enjoyed playing football for Watford City High School. Dale worked after school and on weekends for Orrin’s Bobcat and Black Hills Trucking.
After high school, Dale joined the Army and was stationed at Frankfurt Germany. While in the Army, Dale worked as a diesel mechanic, keeping the Army’s trucks running smooth. He later received an honorable discharge. When Dale returned from the service, he hauled grain for Morkin Grain Cleaning Service. From 1983-1989, Dale worked for several drilling companies: Bomac, Manning Kenting Burris, and Tierra Drilling. In 1990 he started his pipeline career, working for Gifferd 4R, Keogh, Haines, CSI, Sterling, Friend Construction, and Tomahawk. Dale also worked eleven years for SK & S. He was known as one of the best dozer operators in the area.
Dale was a member of the White Earth Saddle Club. He often team roped with his father and friends. One of Dale’s passions was riding his Harley Davidson. On August 25, he rode with Fire and Iron on their 13th annual fun run. There were over 300 bikers. He liked fishing, and enjoyed catching Paddlefish. Dale was a member of the Alexander Fire Department and the American Legion Post #29.
Dale was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was a friend to all, always offering a helping hand.
He is survived by his children, KayCee and Kobee both of Alexander. His brother, Ike (Sandi) Crimmins of Bismarck, ND. Sisters, Jolyne (Kenny) Sigvaldsen of Williston, ND, Pat (Don) Sillerud, and Joyce (Orrin) Moe of Watford City, ND, along with several nieces and nephews. Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Vernice Crimmins, his older brother Frankie Dean Crimmins, and his niece Connie Wold.

I'd like to express condolences to Dale's family from the Krieger family. I've got so many happy memories of Dale's summertime visits to our family's ranch in the White Earth Valley, starting from the first time he rode in on his pony Buckshot. Memories such as swimming in the Crick (with Buckshot!), playing on a homemade raft, crossing the Crick on the cable car, wearing out the seats of our pants going down the muddy beaver slide, enjoying Mom's summertime dinners of fried fresh chicken, creamed baby potatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, corn on the cob; climbing hills, chasing cows on horseback, eating chokecherries, building tree houses, doing welding projects at the shop where Dale provided us with a lesson on the importance of using adequate eye protection around arc welders and we all became familiar with the term "welding flash", sleeping in the log cabin, shooting gophers.
Dale was one of several people over the years that Mom referred to has her "eleventh kid." Thanks, Dale, for being part of our family for those many happy times.
