Robin Noreen Anderson (56) was born in Portland, OR to Robert and Yvonne (Auren) Senff on May, 5 1962. She was the youngest of five siblings.
Robin spent her childhood full of laughter and sass. She is most remembered for her heart of gold that she carried with her all her life. Where ever she was she always tried to bring a smile to your face and a little light into the world. And she was always willing to share a nice conversation over a cup of coffee.
Robin had a love for animals, especially horses and cats. Often times she would sneak out to sleep with her family horses or share her peanut butter sandwiches with them. She never felt like a house was a home until she had a cat to share it with. Over the years she had many special cats in her care. Her most recent companion, who will miss her dearly, is her beloved cat, Grabit, who she has had for many years. She was never ashamed to admit that she was a cat lady at heart.
Robin always kept her mind and hands busy. Wither it was doodling on whatever she could find, or working on some craft to give away to someone. Most of all she loved to do crafts with others, especially her grandkids and other kids of the family. She was never short of an activity or an idea of a game for them. She was always a kid at heart and loved to be surrounded by the laughter of the children.
Robin became a mother at a young age. She would always be the first to tell you that she made a lot of mistakes, but always tried her best. Becoming a mother was the best part of her life. Her children were the best parts of her and she loved them all deeply. She was proud of the men and woman they grew to be.
Eventually, Robin met the cowboy of her dreams, Michael “Mickey” Anderson. After a long courtship she finally agreed to marry him. They had an old fashioned rodeo wedding out in Keene, ND on Sept. 8, 1990. They settled down on a farm in Keene. They spent the years raising their kids and eventually welcoming the joy of grandkids into their life.
After living on the farm for over 20 years they eventually moved into a house in Center, ND. They continued to share their life there until Mickey passed away on Dec. 21, 2015.
After losing Mickey, Robin continued to enjoy surrounding herself with family. She loved spending time with her grandkids, including mini vacations to South Dakota with them. She would often go visit her sister, Punky, in Watford City. Her fondest memory was taking a long awaited road trip down south with Punky for a few months. It was a time she cherished dearly.
All through her life her family was her light that fueled the joy in her heart. She loved to be around them and loved to watch them grow. Robin passed away peaceful surrounded by her family on September 19, 2018 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND. A laugh gone, we won’t soon forget.
Robin is survived by: her children, Christopher Senff (Alesia Medeiros) of Flasher, ND, Crystal Freeman of Center, ND, Michael Anderson of Stanton, ND, and Angelo Anderson of Grassy Butte, ND; her siblings, Anthony Auren of Brawley, CA, William Senff of Wheelock, ND, Lynn Strom of Watford City, ND, and LaVeeta “Punky” Kummer of Watford City, ND; her 2 granddaughters, 8 grandsons, and many nieces and nephews.
Robin is preceded in death by: her father Robert Senff, her mother Yvonne Senff, and her husband Michael “Micky” Anderson.
