On Wednesday, October 10, 2018, Jerry Henson, loving husband and father passed away at the age of 74.
Jerry was born on July 21, 1944 in Steele, Missouri, to Willy and Eunice (Holmes) Henson. He spent his school age years on the family farm in Blytheville, Arkansas. At the age of 21, he moved to Clancy, Montana to be near his sister, Becky, and her family. On September 7, 1974 he married Pam Murray. Together they moved to Sidney, Montana in 1980, where they raised one daughter, Kristina (Krissy) who was the joy of his life.
Jerry loved the outdoors, and spent as much time as possible outside visiting with family and friends. Among his favorite places were going to the mountains surrounding Clancy, where he camped and roamed the many abandoned mining and logging roads on his ATV with his wife and family. These same roads made great snowmobiling trails in winter.
Jerry decided to give working in the oil patch a try, but ended up at his favorite job, which was at the Tjelde Farm. He loved living here in this small farming community and was soon surrounded by dear friends who quickly became part of the family. He was a quiet man, but had a great sense of humor and loved giving his nieces and nephews “special” nicknames.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father Willy, mother Eunice, sister Ruby Kromas and Becky Bock. Brothers-in-law: Howard Huggins, John Kromas, Bruce Bock, and Rick Murray. Father and mother-in-law, Guy and Shirley Murray, and his niece Ivy VanDyke. He is survived by his wife, Pam, and his daughter Krissy, sister Bonnie Hugging, brother, John (Salina) Henson, Brother-in-law Guy Murray, sisters-in-law Julie Murray and Mary Murray, and several nieces and nephews.
