It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Ryland Paul Christensen
February 21, 2005 - November 27, 2018

Place of Birth: Sidney, Montana
Residence: Sidney, Montana
Age: 13

Ryland Christensen, an 8th grader at Sidney Middle School was taken from us on November 27, 2018. He was born February 21, 2005 in Sidney, MT to his mother, Angela and a brother Jarod and a sister Desirae.
When Ryland was two years old he gained a stepfather, Corey Salsbury, a brother Gage and a sister, Brynn.
Being the youngest, he was always the entertainment for the family. He could light up a room with that smile and a sparkle in his eye. He is always making us laugh and never let anyone go without a hug.
Ryland loved swimming as we had always told him that he was part fish. He loved to be in any water whether it was the river, the lake, a pool, or a stream. He loved our family trips to Fort Peck to be with his siblings. He loved practicing water skis, knee board and tubing, but his favorite was cliff jumping and showing everybody up and of course entertaining everyone around the campfire every night. One of Rylands favorite times of year was spring time paddle fishing for hours down at the river with friends and family.
He spent a lot of time on the Bell farm with his good friend Jace, getting into mischief every chance they could. He spent his younger years wrestling with his good buddies Zander & Brodie.
Ryland loved his multiple family trips to Minnesota, “Ducklin Dells”, and Las Vegas. He also loved his trips with his Uncle Jeremy and his cousins, Jayda and Kabe.
He spent hours jumping on the trampoline with his friend Shandyn trying new stunts and tried to tell his mamma he was going to be a stuntman when he grew up. He loved spending time at the skate park with his friends, trying his stunts on his bike but mainly he loved his scooters at the park.
In the past year Ryland also connected with his sisters Amanda & Alex Bieber and started building a relationship with them that he very much cherished.
Ryland had a warm and fun-loving spirit that was contagious and magnetic which was felt by all those around him.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents Ellen Rayer and Arvin (Chub) Christensen.
Ryland is survived by his mother Angela and dad Corey, grandparents Gary (Kim) Nash, Paul (Nancy Christensen), and Joan Salsbury, brothers Jarod Fasching and Gage Salsbury, sisters Desirae Fasching and Brynn Salsbury, great-grandmother Nancy Christensen, uncle Jeremy Christensen and his children Jayda and Kabe, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Our heartfelt sympathies go out to all family and friends affected by this loss. His big ole grin will forever be engrained in our memories! May you somehow find peace and comfort as the Lord carries you through this.

Overwhelming and profound sadness to hear that you left this world too soon. For you I wished you could see all the lives you touched and see how many people loved you in your short 13 years! I know Jayda will miss times with you just being friends, cousins and as close in age as siblings. A missing spot with an empty Xbox controller and voice on his headset where you used to be for Kabe, you were his best friend, irreplaceable is an understatement.
A third child for your Uncle Jeremy, no matter what was happening or where he was going, Ryland was right along with, an invite was never needed and always unspoken. As disturbing (yet hilarious) as your mom and uncle Jeremy’s humor is, they could convince people you were his, and had to question if he was being serious or not.
You had a smile that lit up a room and a laugh that could make anyone laugh along with you!
May God rest your soul Ryland and may you somehow bring comfort and peace to the family you left behind as you took a few steps ahead that they weren’t ready for, until we see you again...
Prayers to the Christensen Family, deepest condolences.

There are no words one can say to make the world lighter during this time, I cannot fathom the pain or heartache. Please know that the Lord is with you, and Ryland is looking upon you with his beautiful smile and laugh--hold those memories close. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Christensen family and friends during this trying time.

There are no words. My heart is broken with yours. I'm sorry you now know the utter horror and hysterica that only comes from losing a child.
My son, Dexter, passed away this late May. He was 11.
I am friends with Karen (who works with my mom), and she has always been a tremendous support.
If you want, please feel free to talk/text/email any time.
I'm sorry that such a horrible illness took Ryland from you.

When Ryland was in my fourth grade class, you could always tell when he was really happy. He had dimples that clearly showed in his cheeks and his laugh was infectious to the rest of the class. He will be sadly missed. My heartfelt sympathies go out to you in this difficult time.
