Michael "Mickey" Warren Post
February 10, 1962 - April 20, 2019

Place of Birth: Tioga, ND
Residence: Tioga, ND
Age: 57

Michael (Mickey) Warren Post was born February 10th, 1962 in Tioga, ND to Monte and Evelyn (Normark) Post. Mickey was baptized at birth in the Lutheran Faith. He attended school in Ray, ND and then in Tioga, ND where he graduated in 1982. He lived in group homes in Minot and Williston before returning to Tioga where he lived in his own home.

Mickey loved his daily routine of making his way down Main Street to help local businesses with chores and visiting with all the locals. Mickey loved being employed at Neset Consulting where they often had pizza parties just for him and took him on locations to see the new wells. He once ran for mayor of Tioga and was also an honorary fireman for the Tioga Fire Department.

Mickey was the smiling face on the corner of Main Street. Often you would hear “Will you be my friend?” Once you met him you were a friend for life. With his amazing memory he rarely forgot faces and could rattle off the latest news or weather report by heart. He enjoyed listening to the police scanner so he was up to date on what was going on.

Mickey loved to drive around with friends and family and often went on adventures. He loved the state fair and attended every year. One of his favorite trips was going to Bismarck to see All Star Wrestling. Mickey continued to watch wrestling and knew all of the wrestlers by their theme song. He collected T-shirts especially anything Harley Davidson or with a pretty girl on it. If he knew you were going somewhere he would ask you to bring him back a shirt. Mickey had an impressive collection of coats that were personalized for him, many of which local business had made for him.

He loved his cats, Olivia and Elgers. Back in 1990 Mickey fell in love with a Cadillac that finally made its way into his garage a few years ago. He was proud to tell all his friends at the bar all about it. He loved female country singers. During a trip to Nashville he even made a recording of “Daddy’s Hands.” Mickey loved family time, especially his birthday and Christmas.

Mickey was loved by all and the streets of Tioga will not be the same without him.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Adolph and Helen Normark and Harold and Mabel Post; brother, Eric Post; nephew, Tyler Gleave and stepfather, Merlin Johnson.

He is survived by his brothers, Mark (Becky) Post of Minot and Timothy (Tammi) Post of Rockmart, GA; sister, Shelly (Curtis) Gleave of Tioga; nieces, Mandy (Garrett) Raveling, Kayleigh Post, Lindsey Post and Sierra Post; nephew, Nicholas Post; step niece, Maegan Leek and her children, Aspen, Kenlee, Stella, Isabella and Sparrow; step nephew, Brandon Ward; great niece, Kenzee Raveling; great nephew, Clyde Raveling; niece and great niece of his heart Brandi Kneller and Chastidy Sandberg and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Mickeys passing. I worked with Mickey for several years and enjoyed it thoroughly. His favorite place to be was Murphy Motors. I always knew if he wasn’t home for our grocery shopping or other appointments he would be over there. He was such a caring, funny guy. He will be greatly missed. Prayers to all Mickeys family and friends.

Mickey was like family. He was such a good friend, and will be dearly missed. He loved to reminisce about all the fun times we shared.... whether it was stopping by Grandma Gail's to say hi and join us for a BBQ, or just seeing him out and about...he was always ready with a story!! Prayers to all of Mickey's family and friends. Tioga won't be the same without Mickey. I can only imagine Grandma Gail, Brian and Doug's heavenly greeting for you.

Mickey was one of my many buddies in Tioga all my years of delivering Ups. He would see my Ups truck and come over and always said Hey Buddy and then he'd give me the latest news scoop and he'd always made me laugh with his stories. Mickey was a Icon in Tioga and will be missed standing on main waving at everyone.

Mickey was a friend to everyone! A few years ago we had a blue Cadillac. Boy did he like that car, he would yell out from the sidewalk whenever we would be in town, and say “I like your car!” So I had to laugh to myself when I read he had a Cadillac in his garage! Bless his heart! He will surely be missed in Tioga.

It's been many years since I've had the pleasure to see Mickey - but a person I'll never forget! He had a big heart and a trip to Tioga will never be the same with out his friendly smile and hug. There are so many times I can remember, but my favorite was DJ'ing at the Jungle and Mickey came to visit and to have a pop. He was fascinated with the lights and thought it was awesome that I let him turn them off and on. No doubt in my mind an Angel that walked on earth.
