My dear friend Joyce,

I didn't know when I said goodbye on Monday that I wouldn't see you again, but I have a feeling that you did know. You were like a sister to me. We were born the same month and year, we grew up together and when we graduated we took the big step of moving to Williston in search of jobs, we were brave! The Lord lead us on our way to find jobs, an apartment and two of the "best looking" guys in North Dakota. We have been blessed!

I will never forget our road trips around Williams County and then spreading wings and going south in the winter. We were so lucky that our husbands got along so well - they had a lot in common, 'farming!'

You really put the 'joy' in Joyce and in my life! Until we meet again, dear one, rest well!

Love your friend,
Arlyss

Family, I was saddened to read about Joyce passing. It brought back memories of when I worked with Joyce at the ASCS office. She had a delightful personality and it was fun to be in her presence. I am thankful she was my friend. God Bless you now and in the days to come. Norma

Many many bags of sunflower seeds later great laughs and many hrs of reminesing of local events family and friends come to mind when I think of my great neighbors Ernie and Jovce Halserh. Ernie coming in from the farm while Joyce and I enjoyed the evenings sitting on her deck. She always had dinner waiting for Ernie. She was a very devoted wife mother and grand and great grandmother. I have missed you my great neighbor /friend. Until we meet again save me a handful of Dakota kid sunseeds and a cold drink??May our Gracious Merciful Savior provide comfort to this fam/friends with the loss of our Unforgettable friend Joyce.
