Dear Jesse and Julie,
Oh my my this is a difficult journey your foot has been set to embark upon. We do not understand exactly what you are personally going through, We simply cannot because we are not mom and dad to Ira. Only you and God alone know the depth of your shock and pain. As we look at his picture we see a happy, free spirited, healthy young man. You were the BEST parents in the world chosen for him! God bless you for being in-tune to Ira and guiding him through his 13 years of life. I know without a shadow of doubt that he was thinking about mom and dad and his family before he was taking his last breath. You helped him to hold on to Jesus as fear may have tried to grip his. You were with him to the very end. He wasn’t alone. Now you will shed lonely tears for Ira, and prideful tears for the journey he took to reach out and grab Jesus hand. What a soldier he was in those minutes. Hold on to those things.
We love you so much and care deeply from the bottom of our souls!

My heart hurts for you & your family in this time of grief. I am praying for God’s great love & mercy to be poured out on you & that He will wrap you all in His arms of grace & mercy. When my husband passed away the Lord gave me Nahum 1:7: The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, & He KNOWS those who take refuge in Him. It brought me comfort & I hope it does the same for y’all.

I am so sorry for the loss of Ira. He was such a handsome boy and my heart breaks for his parents, siblings, cousins, and all the knew and loved him. I wish I could have gotten to know my cousin, or at the very least meet him, before he passed along, but I have no doubt that I will be able to one day.
