We are so sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. To me he will always be “Nodak” In early March of 1968, right out of boot camp, we walked aboard the USS Sedgwick County in Vung Tau Vietnam. We served for the next 18 months resuppling river units in the Mekong Delta and out of Da Nang. We also had liberty in Guam, Japan, Hong Kong, The Philippines, and Okinawa. We shared many a cold beer and sea story. To my friend Nodak I wish you fair winds and following seas. You are missed.

So sorry to hear of Larry passing. I worked with him as a young kid at Kal's Texaco and he was a lot fun to be around . A big man with a big heart and smile.

So sorry to hear the news. Wish we could be there to say our farewells to a great friend and ship mate. We had great times went through some not so good in Vietnam, but together with our friends, we made it. The reunions were wonderful as we
reminded each other of the time past. Made us feel young again. Nodak, watch for us my brother.

My sympathy to Butch's family at this sorrowful time. He was always so much fun to be around--a wonderful sense of humor! And, yes, there was always the teasing. He always called me the "little" cousin and one of my older sisters the "big" cousin because he could not remember our names. It was always fun to see him when I would be back in Tioga for a reunion of any kind; he was very welcoming.
