First off, condolences to the family! She was a great lady. I met her and her first husband, Dave, while high school rodeoing. I also got to know the three kids, it was always a great time. A little story about her, she wanted to be a barrel racer. So Dave set up the barrels at their house and put some water in them so they wouldn’t tip over when she hit them. She had black and blue legs for weeks. Like I said, it was a fun time. She will be greatly missed.

To all of Sherry’s family-special prayers to all of you-may your many memories of her bring you the greatest peace. The Hagens were friends with mom and dad and all of the Slagle kids. We were all actively involved in 4-H together plus spending a lot of visiting time with them! Rest In Peace Sherry!

my thoughts and memories are with you now and will always be part of my life. i am saddened by the loss of Sherry. Sherry was an ever presence in our family (as was Jerome) for many years. She was always there for my mother in her final years and my mother spoke lovingly of her and Jerome often. Now we are left with good memories and need to keep them close to our hearts. Jerome...i hope you still have some good work horses. They are good listeners..
To Hal, Mike and Suzi...your dad can fill you in on our family connection...take care now.

I am very sorry for your loss! Sherry and I worked together as principals when she was in Watford City and she was a great mentor to me. She was a great loss to education when she retired but did so much to improve it while she was a part of it. She will be missed very much, my thoughts and prayers are with her entire family.

I was a principal colleague with Sherry—she from the far west and me from east. I saw her once a year at our state principals conference. Sherry was a strong voice for children. I remember when she was named the National Distinguished Principal. She was proud to represent our state. I remember her beautiful red cowboy boots! She was a classy lady and ‘one of a kind!’ I am so sad to hear of her passing. She lived large. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

Sherry was a tremendous advocate for education and loved working with students and staff. She was passionate about learning and making her school building the best it could be at all times. Her impact will live on for decades with the students and staff she reached in her great career. She was a valued friend and support for myself and the school district for many years. She will be missed on many levels, however, "Mom Griz" will live on in our thoughts and fond memories.
