I didn't know Jay as a close friend, but when we did meet, it was always with a greeting and a big smile. I have always respected and thought the world of the Nesper family. I am so sorry for your loss....

Couldn’t help but cry a bit when I heard of your passing, J. Absolutely loved our times getting lunch together, eating that chicken, and talking about agates amongst everything else. During the few years we knew one another, you taught me some really amazing things that still stick with me to this day, and you were one of the few who helped guide me through the toughest times of my life. I pray that your family stays healthy through the grieving. And if heaven only takes the good ones, I know you’re there. You will be missed

I had a business in Alexander ND from the late 70’s to the late 80’s. Kris & Jay would stop in occasionally after work. A friend called them Hoss & little Joe. Jay & Kris were some of the finest people, I was lucky enough to meet. I came back in the 90’s & drove beets a couple of times. I stopped in at Pacific to see Jay. All settled in with a great family. Jay didn’t get enough years, but he got a whole lot out of the years he had. He lived right, and made a real great life. The Hard Ride
