My best friend. I just can’t imagine going through life without you. I will miss your laugh, everyone knows the one…that amazing, loud, hilarious, guffaw of yours. I think of that laugh often and can’t help but to smile hearing it in my head. Too many memories to count but I cherish each and every one of them.

May God have mercy on your soul and bring you to his eternal light in heaven.
You were a great co-worker. You can't be replaced.

Oh my, Doug, how sorry I am to see you leave us, but I am happy to know that you are home. Your troubles are over. Please be a guardian angel to our new daughter, Frankie. Thank you for always being someone I looked up to. My cousin, the hero. Say hello to my mom, grandma, and grandpa for me. Love you.

Living life without you may be the hardest thing I have to do. You were honored in such a beautiful way. I promise you will be remembered by your life, not your death. Thank you for everything you’ve taught me. Thank you for shaping me as a person. I will always be grateful for our time together. I love you Doug, and until next time… Cheers….

It was so sad to hear about Doug today, when some other Forest Service guys came in. We met Doug a couple years ago, when he purchased either brushcutters or chainsaws for the Forest Service. He was so polite and friendly - just a great guy. Our condolences to his wife, two sons, extended family, and friends: he will be missed. May the Lord help and comfort you always.
