I am so sorry for your loss. Betty's friendship was a treasure to me. She was genuine and caring. I knew if she asked how I was, she really wanted to know. She will really be missed. May Our Lord continue to give you all comfort and strength through this time and always. God Bless. :-)

My condolences for the family. When I worked at the post office Betty would always come in with the biggest smile and just so polite. Which was always welcomed especially in that environment! She will be missed.

My heartfelt condolences to the Cumming family and all of Betty's loved ones. I have fond memories of trick-or-treating at Betty's house and seeing her bright smile at church. As a young adult, I was fortunate to play in the flute choir with her, witnessing her passion for music and strong leadership. I will miss her dearly.

I took private voice lessons from Betty for several years when I was in high school. She was a wonderful lady and so much fun to be around! She will be greatly missed at Pella!

What a gal. I remember her kind and supportive adjudication during a flute solo in middle school. She would always pull out her flute and demonstrate the suggestions in her critique, gamely playing along to our rudimentary j-high selections. <3 Rest well, Betty. Love and sympathy to your family.

She touched countless lives in this community with her beautiful gift of music. She was a delight to visit with when we would meet. She was always dressed to the hilt and her makeup made her glow. May she be singing in the heavenly choir and adding to its beauty.

Betty is the epitome of the classy person that academics define. She was so special for my family over so many years in so many aspects of our lives-a special lady. Her family has my most significant thoughts and I wish them a peaceful grieving. An old friend, Jim Haugen

Dear family,
Sorry to hear about Betty´s passing. She was a talented, vivacious and caring wife and mother to her family. I think often of the old neighborhood growing up. Dreyers, Johnsons, Halls, Diges, Cummings...all with several children. Betty was the last survivor of this group of parents. Your mom made North Drive and her community a better place to live.

With our sympathy,
Craig and Julie Johnson

I will never forget getting to have dinner at Bonnie’s house when I was a kid. it was always so fabulous like a 5 star hotel! There was always desert!
I always appreciated her accompanying me on the piano for music festivals!

Our high school class was the first one Betty had in Sidney. She wasn't much older than we were so it was a fun, rewarding class. Even after 70 years she ever, ever forgot our names!
We won't ever forget her either . An inspiration for all ages! Condolences to her dear family.

Betty was indeed a treasure to Sidney. I was just a child when Wayne came to our house and my brother was coming down the stairs. Mom said, "This is my son.' To which John replied--I'll be dammed-- you have another son. She was introducing Wayne to her son, John. We laughed and laughed--what a mix up for poor John!! lol

Betty will always be in my heart and remembered as one of the best North Drive neighborhood moms and in my adult years a fellow musician whom I adored visiting to talk shop when I was home. Her smile was constant and always brought joy to the room or house that she was in! My most sincere condolences to Kirk, Beth, Bonnie, Robin and Jamie. Your mom was super special.

I do wish I could be there with you. Aunt Betty was a beautiful person inside and out. She was always a person who stood up for injustice. A great model for an aunt.

So many memories and what a life well lived! She and my aunt were friends growing up in Lewistown and then Wayne and Betty were friends of my parents throughout the years in Sidney. Betty was known for her musical abilities and I was fortunate to experience her influence in such a positive and fun way. She was delightful and will truly be missed but remembered with smiles and love.
