A Celebration of Life for Kathleen “Kathy” Dotson, 66 of Sidney will be held at the Anderson Pavilion in Veteran’s Memorial Park at 6:00pm on Thursday, July 28, 2016.

Graveside Service

Kathleen “Kathy” Kay Cornelia was born in Sidney, MT on March 26, 1950, daughter of Wilbur and June (Mavity) Cornelia. Raised in Sidney, she attended Sidney schools and graduated in 1968; she finished her education in nursing at Dickinson State College in 1970, graduating as an RN.
After working in several small hospitals, she came home to work at Sidney Health Center, where she finished her 30-year career. Kathy’s pride and joy was her family and friends.
Kathy passed away on Thursday, July 21. For any out-of-town friends and family, condolences can be sent to Glenn Dotson at 518 26th Ave NW, Sidney, MT, 59270.
She is survived by: her daughter, Becky (Kris) Yonts; her son, Glenn (Meagan) Dotson; her brothers, Donn Cornelia in Billings, Jerry Cornelia in Sidney, Gary (Derick Paredes) Cornelia in San Jose, and Darrel Cornelia in Sidney; her sisters, Sharon (Cornelia) Shackelford in Munich, ND and Debbie (Dishon) Dahl in Fairview; her grandchildren, Michael, Rhiannon, and Seth Yonts; Ethan, Abbey, and Owen Dotson; her uncle, Glenn Mavity and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, nephew Michael Cornelia, and Aunt Sharon Mavity.

Kathy was a mentor of mine when I first started working at SHC. She was a terrific nurse and it was a big loss when she had to retire. Kathy always had a smile no matter how bad things were going. She will be missed by all that knew her. RIP Kathy.

So very sorry for your loss. She was very good to the EMT's in guiding us and sometimes just being a friendly face. She taught many of us how we could help in ER.

So hard to be saying goodbye to a classmate & good friend. Not only were we friends, but our parents were also friends. Kathy, you are going to leave such a empty spot in not only your families lives, but your friends as well! Prayers go out to the family of Kathy's and her best friend Debbie too!! Love to all!

What a shock! RIP dear friend. Having known you since we were kids, it was so fun to be on FB with you. I enjoyed your jokes, your love of family, your politics, recipes, and everything else.
