Conor Volz
February 15, 1994 - May 28, 2017

Residence: Williston, North Dakota

Conor Jake Volz, 23, of Williston, North Dakota passed away Sunday morning at his home.

May 28th will forever hold the feeling of the day our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend to many, lost his battle against drug addiction. It will forever change the loved ones he left behind.

Conor was born February 15, 1994 to Danny Volz and Marti Pankowski of Williston, ND. Conor was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. He was raised in Williston and attended K-12 at Williston Public Schools. Conor loved to dress up for his high school formals. During this time he worked at the Windshield Doctors where he learned the art of tinting windows, which he would do for many of his friends and family. He attended one year of college in Minot State. After that year he decided to move back to Williston and help his “Madre” in the bartending business at Buster’s Bar, where he was still employed at the time of his passing.

Conor was enjoyed by everyone who walked through the doors. He had an infectious giggle and smile that would light up a room! He had a way with people; he could turn your bad day into a great day by just one smile and a pat on the back or a big hug. He could talk to anyone and go away with that person feeling like they made a new friend. He remembered your name even if he only met you once. Buster’s Bar will never be the same without our beloved bearded bartender Conor!

Conor got his first motorcycle at the age of 7 and he was a natural. From that day he never was without one. He had a love for motorcycles, quads, snowmobiles, hunting and just hanging out with friends. Conor enjoyed working on cars with his “Papa Dan” and dreaming of future cars that they would together someday own. Their snowmobile trips will never be forgotten. Conor was an avid outdoorsmen and loved hunting with his dad, stepdad, grandpa and uncles.

Since day one, Conor’s pride and joy was always his sisters, Hannah and Miranda and then later his niece Marlaina. His life revolved around them, loyal and dedicated.

In Conor’s teen years he always had a big group of his friends who if you saw one you knew the others were close behind. Anyone that knew Conor will miss him dearly…his personality was one of a kind. He had such a huge heart and went out of his way to make you feel special.

His beloved dog “Boo”, who was always at Conor’s side, will forever miss him. Rest easy, our boy, and enjoy being back with Dylan and Michael. Now three of the original “Peach Fuzz Mafia” are back together.

Conor is survived by his father, Danny (Jody) Volz of Minot, ND; his mother, Marti (Ron) Pankowski; his sisters Hannah (Matt Smith) Volz and Miranda (Gabriel Garnica) Volz, along with their daughter Marlaina, all of Williston, ND; his step siblings, Erik (Courtney) Pankowski along with their children Janson and Evalyn, Mandi (Dustin Hjelmen) along with children, Eliza, Joshua, Baya and Jaxten, David Pankowski and Pete Fritz; his grandparents, Larry and Jeanne Jacobson, Clarence and Carolyn Volz and his great grandmother, Ruby Jacobson. On his mother’s side; aunt Dawn (Darren) Birkeland along with their children Karissa (Andrew) (children Grace, Maci and Abby and Madison; uncle Travis (Ann) Jacobson, and their kids Megan and Amy; uncle Lonny (Julie) Jacobson and their child Jocelyn; Aunt Brandee (Justin) Hanson and their child Tavyn. On his father’s side; David (Dawn) Volz and their son Brandon; Uncle Dennis (Brook) Volz and their children, Keenen, Branssen and Abrianna.

He was preceded in death by two of his best friends, Dylan Wegley and Michael Rameden and wonderful grandmother, Georgia Anderson.
