Beverly Moberg, 78, of Tioga, ND, passed away, Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Tioga Long Term Care.

Beverly Yvonne Nelson was born February 16, 1939 to Oliver and Clara (Nygaard) Nelson of Flaxton, ND. She was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith. She graduated from Flaxton High School in 1958.

On June 29, 1958, Beverly married Kenneth Jacobson in Flaxton. In 1962 they made Tioga, ND their home. Here they raised their two children, Dennis and Kathy, and later provided foster care for several children.

On October 9, 2001 Kenneth passed away after a short battle with cancer.

On September 21, 2002 Beverly married Arlo Moberg at Zion Lutheran Church in Tioga. She and Arlo made their home on his farm near Battleview, ND. In 2006 they moved to Tioga. Beverly moved into the Tioga Nursing Home in May of this year where she resided until her death.

Beverly was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church where she participated in many activities including Ladies Aide, teaching Sunday school, and singing in various groups including the church choir. She managed the Tioga Christian Book Store for several years during the 1970’s. In the 1980’s she served as an Ombudsman and frequent volunteer at the Tioga Nursing Home.

Beverly loved music and Bible studies. She also enjoyed camping, baking goodies, watching Hallmark movies, crocheting, and playing games, especially pinochle. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Beverly was preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth; parents Oliver and Clara Nelson; brother Duane “Kenny” Nelson and sister LaVerna Hughey; Kenneth’s siblings Myrtle Lumley, Ellen Dahlien, Edith Heglund, and Alvin Jacobson; Arlo’s siblings Sharon Gudvangen and Ray Moberg; and step-great granddaughter Olivia Fretheim.

She is survived by her husband Arlo; son Dennis (Julie) Jacobson and children Rachelle Jacobson and Ryan (Alison) Jacobson; and daughter Kathy (Donald) Craft and children Layne (Malinda) Ferguson, April (Caleb) Eide, Mindy (Levi) Cabler, Heather (Brandon) Greenlee, Holly (Mark) Halvorson, Hope (Brian) Midboe, and Amber (Kelly) Greenlee; step-children Cathy Moberg, Sandra McCloud, Kevin (Susan) Moberg and their children Suzanna, Abigail, and Hillary; 11 great-grandchildren and 7 step-great grandchildren; sister-in-law and dear friend Bea (Ruben) Olson; Kenneth’s brother Alex Jacobson; Arlo’s siblings Alden Moberg, Penny Gohrick and Rose Gudvangen; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
