Dave was born on November 10, 1953 to Clarence Fasching and Sarah (Milner) Fasching in Dickinson, ND. He grew up and attended school in the Beach, ND area. He married Darlene (Burman) Fasching in Wibaux, MT, on February 24, 1972 until 1999. During that time they made their home in Medora, ND where they worked on a ranch. In 1975, they moved to Sidney where Dave worked on the drilling rigs for approximately 15 years, until he started and operated his business of D&D Small Engine Repair. He later went to work as a farm hand. Dave was married to Gloria (Sifuentes) Fasching from July of 2000 to December 2014 in Sidney. Dave continued to work as a farm hand, where he later got back into the oilfield as a driller and later as a mechanic at Yellowstone Auto. He worked as a welder/fabricator at Big Stick Welding until his most recent position of Head Oiler at Sidney Sugars.

Dave enjoyed the outdoors, deer and elk hunting using both bow and rifle where he killed most of his deer in mid jump over a fence. In his younger days he loved driving and racing his 68 RS SS Camaro, (which he never lost the cash on the dash before he reached 4th gear.) breaking horses and ranch work. He enjoyed several out-of-state trips to Washington (to visit his family) and South Dakota. He had many different hobbies including wood crafts, sand art, and mirror etching. Dave was also very articulated with anything dealing with numbers. He savored the time spent with his family including "Fasching Tuesday" at Dairy Queen.

Dave was a very detailed man and took a lot of pride in his work. He wasn't a man of many words, yet when it came to a job, he made sure he knew every detail of that task from when a rig would spud, how long it took for irrigation water to get from one end of the field to the other, to why an engine wouldn't run right. Dave could fix any mechanical problem and fabricate any part for many different types of machinery and you can be sure if Dave fixed something, it wasn't going to break again. Dave loved to help his kids and grandkids with any issues from vehicle maintenance to home repair. Dave will truly be missed and the skills he taught will forever be remembered.

David died on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Sidney Sugars, Sidney, MT.

Dave is survived by: his sons, Shawn (Wendy) Fasching, Scott Fasching, and Steven (Vanessa) Fasching, all of Sidney, MT; his daughters, Sheila (Jon) Marker, Sidney, MT and Shelly (Ken) Fasching, Fargo, ND; his brother, Don Fasching, Camano Island, WA; his sister, Florance McKinney, Spokane, WA; step-sister, Ina Fisk Primmer; 14 admirable grandkids and numerous extended family members.

Dave is preceded in death by: his father, Clarence Fasching, his mother, Sarah Fisk, and his step-father, George Fisk.
