Alicia Drager, 40, of Coon Rapids, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids on Tuesday, August 21, 2018.
Alicia Jane Drager (Aamoth) was born on December 11, 1977 to Craig and Dianne Aamoth. She grew up in Williston, ND and Sidney, MT with her two siblings; Adrienne and Avery. She attended Sidney High school and later graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Concordia University in Moorhead, MN.
On October 13, 2015, she married Dan Drager of Bloomington, MN. They resided in Coon Rapids, MN where Alicia managed the billing for a local dermatology clinic and Dan worked as a welder. Alicia had also managed several retail stores over the years, including being a part time assistant manager in the evenings after her time in the clinic. They had recently expanded their family with the addition of a boxer named Ernie.
Alicia was a fun, loving and caring wife, aunt and sister. She had a passion for her family and spent a lot of time spoiling her nieces. She enjoyed family vacations and activities; including trips to Kenosee Water Park, the great Minnesota Get Together (MN State Fair), the Renaissance Festival, motorcycle rides to Milwaukee and Minnesota Twins games. She stayed current with pop culture and always kept up on music, movies and TV series; some of her favorites were The Walking Dead and any Law and Order series... Dun, Dun.
She accumulated several nicknames over the years. Alicia was always dressed to impress, wanted to look her best, and was always touching up her makeup, thus earning the nickname "Hollywood." On a family trip to float down a river she was still committed to touching up her makeup and "Miss Ottertail" was born. She was so focused on her makeup that she may have given her brother Ave and cousins tanning accelerator rather than sunscreen, they were only purple for a month or so. Other nicknames she was affectionately known as over the years included "Izzy", "Izz- Tizz", and of course "Aunties."
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Dan Drager; mother, Dianne Aamoth (Vig); siblings, Adrienne (Steve) Engelter and Avery Aamoth; nieces, Sophia and Olivia Engelter; grandparent, Earl Aamoth; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joan and Bruce Drager; sister-in-law, Dara Drager; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and great friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Craig Aamoth; grandparents, Elvina and Dallas Vig and Donna Aamoth; Aunts, Pam Peterson and Roxane Eikom; and cousin, Zach Anderson.
