Donna May (Yadon) Emly was born on December 8, 1940 in Fairview, MT to James and Meree (Scriver) Yadon. She grew up in Fairview and attended school there through eleventh grade. Donna was united in marriage to Milo Emly on October 14, 1957 at Community Presbyterian Church in Fairview, MT. Donna took care of their home while Milo worked. Occasionally Donna would do babysitting in her home and would also dress chickens out to help supplement the family income. They lived on the Emly family farm at Parshall, ND and then Fairview, MT.
Donna collected bells and enjoyed playing various card games with her family (Pinochle was a favorite). She crocheted, had big gardens, canned, and loved being able to give her hard work to those she loved, and many times to people she had just met. Donna felt truly blessed by her family and her church family.
Donna died on Saturday, November 24, 2018, two weeks before her 78th birthday.
Donna is survived by: her sisters, Ethel Stevens of Sidney, MT and Judi (Bill) McPheters of Anchorage, AK; her sons, Alvin (Fay) of Ray, ND, Allen (Jennifer) of Fairview, Dwayne (Cindy) of Fairview, Arnold (Trish) of Glendive, MT, Arlen (Amy) of Bismarck, ND, David (Chella) of Glendive, MT; her daughters, Marlene (Gene) Emly of Fairview, Sheila (Mark) Iszler of Sidney, MT, Lynette (Dustin) Mitchell of Fairview; daughters-in-law, Tina Emly of Sidney, MT, Trinity Emly of Williston, ND; thirty-two grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Donna was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; son, Clinton "Jay"; a granddaughter; grandson; great granddaughter; two sisters and seven brothers.
