Patricia Kiamas
July 28, 1945 - April 1, 2019

Residence: Fairview, MT

Patricia Mae Kiamas, 73, of Fairview Montana, passed away with her husband and children by her side at Sidney Health Center on April 1, 2019. Pat was born on July 28, 1945 to Lawrence and Earlene Elliott. She married Pete Kiamas on August 26, 1989 in Fairview where they have since resided.
From a lifetime of various jobs, she found a perfect role for herself at the El Rancho Hotel in Williston, ND. Pat began her employment there in 1991 and was a tremendous asset as a front desk clerk until her illness in July of 2018. Many customers and co-workers loved and adored her. Guests were greeted warmly and always made to feel like they were at home. In 2010 she was presented the Governor’s Tourism award for Top Front Line Employee for the entire state of North Dakota.
Pat was known for her love of the great outdoors and traveling to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed the art of crafts. Her loving husband of 30 years built her a shop, “The Wood Shed” to display her hand-made creations. Pat loved to make people laugh and was known for her great sense of humor and quick witted sarcasm. Her natural gift in life was putting others first and being helpful to all. She will be dearly missed by those lives she touched.
Survivors include her husband Pete of Fairview, MT, son Brett Hemphill of Philipsburg, MT, daughters Denise Buxbaum of Duluth, MN, and Melissa Harada (Norm) of Cheyenne, WY, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Fairview Ambulance in memory of Patricia Mae Kiamas.

To the Family,
I want to express how sorry to read about your loss. Losing a family member can be very painful. When I lost my father, I found comfort in what the Bible teaches.
I fully believe, as the Bible teaches, that God will restore paradisaic conditions to our earth and that he yearns to bring back to life on earth those who have died—including our family members. (Job 14:14, 15; John 5:28, 29)
We can look forward to the day when we will hold and embrace them again. Every time we hear the word “paradise,” that hope warms our hearts! In the meantime, we can take comfort in the fact that they are in God’s memory.
I hope the same thoughts may bring your family comfort in dealing with your loss.

Pete, Brett, Denise and Melissa,
You know how very special Pat has been to me and my family over the years. We laughed together, cried together and celebrated together. So many of her conversations and stories included each of you. When she spoke of her grandkids she beamed with joy.
I am blessed to have had her in my life and I will stand by the fact that I never ever deserved a friend as good as Pat.
God bless each of you as you grieve the loss of a spectacular lady.
Lovingly,
Kelly J. Ellingson

Pat was truly one of a kind! She was so awesome to work with at the El Rancho! I still remember her teasing the customers and how much everyone loved her. She was so crafty, and made special gifts for those of us that were lucky enough to know her! She will be greatly missed, she put a little sunshine in all our lives at the El Rancho! God Bless her family.
