Jessica Jo Ford, 39, of Williston, ND, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022 at the Trinity Health Center in Minot, ND.
Jessica was born on June 24th, 1983 to Scott & Marlene Nelson of Lewis, WI. She was baptized and confirmed at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church. At the Lewis Church she met her soulmate, Brian Ford. Brian was visiting at his grandparents’ cabin when the couple met. His grandmother, Alice thought Jess would be good for him. They were married on January 21st, 2006 at the Siren Methodist Church. They resided in New Richmond, WI and Boyceville, WI before moving to Williston, ND.
While in Williston, she worked for a car dealership, DMV, and a medical spa before having to go on disability. All this time she was very active in the Williston Faith United Methodist Church. She became a lay speaker, officiated weddings, taught Sunday school, and was involved in the music department. At the time of her passing she was studying to become a Pastor.
She loved to travel with her husband Brian. They visited many places with her favorite being the trip to the Holy Land in Jerusalem. Jess was able to visit most of the Caribbean, Honduras, and many places in the U.S. She also enjoyed fishing, cooking, flowers, and gardening. While in North Dakota she was an excellent support to her husband in the oil fields. She was a Paw Mother to Princess, Chance, and Max who she loved dearly and spoiled greatly.
She was preceded in death by grandmother, Ethel Lane; grandfather, Charles Ford; grandmother, Jannette Schlosser; and aunt, Peggy Miller.
She is survived by husband, Brian Ford; parents, Scott & Marlene Nelson; siblings, Ann (Josh) Nelson, Nicole (Sampson) Richter; grandparents, Robert & Marie Nelson; and nephew, Michael Nelson.
