It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Joshua Wayne Entzel
May 17, 1977 - September 30, 2022

Place of Birth: Sidney, Montana
Residence: Watford City, ND formerly of Sidney, MT
Age: 45

Joshua Wayne Entzel, from Sidney MT, aged 45,  currently residing in Watford City, ND, died on September 30, 2022 in Billings, MT, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Joshua Wayne, born on May 17, 1977, in Sidney, MT to Wayne and Geraldine (Weaver) Entzel, grew up in Sidney.  He graduated from Sidney High School in 1995
and attended UND Williston for one year. He then went on to work a campaign season for Sidney Sugars.

In 1997, Josh proudly enlisted and honorably served in the United States Army for six-and-a-half years.  His army career started with Basic Training at Ft. Leonardwood, MO and from there on out, Josh proved to be an integral component to completing every mission he was a part of, both state-side and overseas.  Josh was never one to boast of his military accomplishments, to say he served humbly would be such an understatement as his files overflow with countless personal recommendations from his immediate NCO to Battalion Commanders.  Just some of his awards and achievements include being an expert marksman, air assault badge, Jordanian parachutist badge, PT stud status and more.  He was the epitome of a high speed soldier who truly lived by the Army core values.  From Ft Bragg to Iraq, Josh’s meritorious service and dedication to duty contributed greatly to the success of every Battalion he served under. After being discharged from the service, Josh returned home to Montana. Josh worked for several companies in the oil and gas industry over the years.  He was currently a lease operator for ConocoPhillips.

Josh lived a full life, often enjoying riding motorcycle, snowmobiling, being on the water, fishing and hunting, along with attending events of his nieces and nephews. He was a loving and loyal son, brother, uncle, and friend.  Our lives are forever richer because of him.  Josh’s personality and humor will remain with us always.

He is survived by his mom Gerry (Jon) Almond; siblings - Jerlyn (Neil) Gabrielson, Jessica Cayko, Jennifer (Carl) Lade, Judd (Chris) Entzel; nieces and nephews - Christy (Travis) Karch, Peyton Gabrielson, Brett Gabrielson, Carson Cayko, Gunnar Cayko, Olivia Lade, Sophia Lade, Hunter Lade, Ben Entzel, Alex Entzel, and Calvin Entzel; great nieces - Addison Karch and Harper Karch; uncles and aunts - Tim (Elaine) Entzel, Audrey Scheetz, and Walter Weaver; and numerous cousins.

Josh was preceded in death by his dad, Wayne Entzel; brother-in-law, Jason Cayko; uncles and aunts - Jim Weaver, Louise and Glen Asbeck, and Don Scheetz.

Josh was a great colleague and I was fortunate to have an opportunity to get to know him.

This past summer, Josh joined me and a couple co-workers at my apartment for a Fourth of July BBQ. I pretty much had everything set up, and each of us had a single item to bring over. Josh showed up with about three bags of groceries! I think this anecdote perfectly summarizes my feeling about Josh: he was a generous person who always was quick to share a smile, a kind word or help out wherever possible.

To Josh’s family, please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss. Please also accept my thankfulness for you making Josh the man that he was. He will be very much missed.
