Allan Robert Newman Sr. was born on May 21, 1950, to Violet and August Newman Sr. in Elbowoods, ND. Allan grew up in an orphanage in Twin Bridges, MT where he attended school and also graduated from high school.
In 1969 Allan Sr. married Sylvia Small and with that union they had two children, Allan Jr. and Dana. After Sylvia’s passing in 1972, Allan Sr. decided to join the Marine Corps. After serving two years in the United States Marines, he met the love of his life Carol Ann Fredericks. On January 29, 1975, Allan Sr. and Carol united in marriage in Manning, ND. Together they had a daughter, Michelle.
Allan had a passion for art and he attended college to become an art teacher. He enjoyed painting portraits, and he even painted the mural that is presently inside the gymnasium at the old Mandaree School. His love for art lead him to open his own construction business. The construction industry was just another way for Allan Sr. to express his passion for art. He owned and operated this construction company up until the day he retired.
Allan Sr. loved his four dogs (Muffin, Starla, Jedi, and Yoda) and they loved him just as much. Allan Sr. also had a special bond with his two grandsons, David and Jr. and he loved them deeply. Allan Sr. will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Allan Sr. is survived by, his wife, Carol Ann; his children, Allan Jr. (Trena), Dana (Missy), and Michelle; his grandchildren, Jordan, Arlin, Skylar, Daryl Jr, David, Tristan, and Maximus; great grandchildren, Ezla, Sansa, and Hendrik.
He is preceded in death by, his parents, August Sr., Violet Ressette; his brothers, August Jr., Harold, and Cornelius.
