Bernard F. Wright, 76, of Stanley, North Dakota passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at the Augusta Place in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Bernard Frank Wright was born on February 8, 1947 in Minot, ND to the late Lee and MaryAnn (Rameden) Wright. He lived his young life in Minot, ND where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding bike with his brothers Bruce and Larry Wright. He attended school in Minot and graduated from Minot High in 1965. He spent a lot of time working on his grandpa’s farm in Bowbells, ND and with his cousins the Farhart Family, Joe, Moody, and Denny Farhart.

He met and married Debra Kay Ellvanger from Ross, ND and together they began their life together on February 4, 1967. The couple moved to White Earth, ND where he was employed at Will’s Ranch. Bernard and Debra welcomed their daughter Wendy on May of that same year. They had two sons, Timothy and Daniel Wright to complete their family. The family moved to Ross and he started his farming and ranching career. He was a hard worker who filled his time in the winter putting machines together for Stanley Equipment. Bernard and Debra built a new home in the early 1980’s and called Stanley, ND home. Every day he would drive to the farm and work the land and take care of cattle. On a rare occasional day off he enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, and motorcycle riding with family and friends. His greatest joy was spending time with family. He made friends wherever he went and was kind and helpful to all.

Bernard is survived by his wife, Debra Wright, Bismarck, ND; sons, Timothy Wright, Stanley, ND and Daniel (Roxann) Wright, Ross, ND; daughter, Wendy (Troy) Maurer, Ross, ND; borther, Larry (Jean) Wright, Bellefontaine, OH; grandchildren, Kallie (Tim) Ulledahl, Ross, ND, Alex (Chelsea) Honrud, Billings, MT, Zachary (Brittney) Maurer, Ross, ND, Danielle (Dustin) Laird, Bismarck, ND, and Thomas Wright, Ross, ND; great-grandchildren, Jazlyn Ulledahl, Marli Honrud, Kayston Honrud, Aniyah Honrud, Hunter Maurer, Alaina Maurer all of Ross, ND, Owen Laird and Ryker Laird of Bismarck, ND, and Gianna Honrud of Billings, MT.
