Laura was born on December 13, 1929 to Carl and Mazy Weinmann. She was among 5 other siblings; Lloyd, Phillip, Isabelle, Earl and Helene. 

She married Kenneth Hegstad in 1948 and had 4 children Phyllis, Mary, Ken Jr (Shirley) and James.  Laura was an avid baker and cook, and also helped Kenny farm.  In the mid 60’s they moved to Sandpoint, Idaho to work in the winter time, and then back to the farm in the spring to put in the crops. They also had time later to go to Arizona every winter for many years where she would make jewelry at the recreation center. 

Laura and Kenny together also built 5 houses, one for each of their children and 2 for themselves. They were blessed with 5 grandchildren,11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. 

She was a very busy lady but was always there for her kids.

She is deeply missed by us all.
