Daniela Hartle
August 6, 1956 - December 16, 2023

Place of Birth: Lipova, Romania
Residence: Sidney, Montana
Age: 67

Daniela Hartle, born to Loan and Raveca Sav on August 6, 1956, in the small village of Lipova, Romania, passed away from cancer on December 16, 2023, in the late afternoon at the Sidney Health Center with her husband Wade of 31 years by her side. They had no children but Daniela believed everyone is a child of God and deserved to be treated with respect and admonished when they were doing wrong.

She was living under a communist rule as an Orthodox Christian until the Romanian revolution in December of 1989. She had been converted to Pentecostal by the Holy Spirit the day before the revolution. She met her future husband when she was helping feed visitors from America that were trying to help orphans get adopted in May of 1990. She didn’t want to come to America and leave her family but accepted Wade’s proposal after several years of correspondence and visits and came to Sidney in March of 1992. They were married in the Assembly of God Church on June 20, 1992, by Pastor Terry even though they didn’t go through the required counseling because he could see her commitment to the Lord and Wade.

They lived in Town where Daniela became fast friends with Wade’s father Roy because she feed him every day on his mail route when he delivered to their house. She also babysat for her sister-in-law and she especially loved Montana and Allie who were Wendy’s girls. She asked Wade to buy cattle for the property that he owned because her parents had lost their farm to the communists even though neither of them had ever had cattle so it was quite a learning experience. They were blessed with 2 sets of twin calves the first year and she took that as sign to donate the proceeds from the extra calves which she did for many years.

Daniela was a dear lady. Although she didn’t have biological children, she considered herself mama of many. She touched the heart of co-workers, community members and her sisters and brothers in faith. She was well known for her strong Romanian accent and her homemade salsa and her tomatoes at the farmer’s market.

She worked at Sidney Sugars for 28 years in many different areas. She finished her career in the Lab as an Assistant Chemist. She was part of the A-team as the girls called it. Everyone knew stuff was not good when they heard her on the radio calling the Warehouse more than once.

She had a big heart and was always saying a prayer for those who needed it and even for those who didn’t know they needed it. She had a strong belief in her faith and loved to share the word with everyone that would take even a moment to listen and if they didn’t, she would still pray for them. She was a hard worker and expected you to try your best, and she felt that she could be a teacher of many things from gardening, crocheting, canning, sewing, and the Bible.

She was very vocal and when she was quiet you knew you might be in trouble or she wasn’t happy with your language that you had used or you did something that was against the grain of life.

Daniela was always making stocking caps and stockings and would gift them to people for the holidays. In the late summer she tried to always to have something for the Farmer’s Market -selling peppers, cucumbers, salsa, and her famous tomatoes (she loved being known as the Tomato Lady).

Fridays at work the girls could talk her into making cabbage rolls which everyone wanted. Boy, did they hit the spot! Yummy!!

We are going to miss you, and we love you!

She is survived by her husband, Wade Hartle; brother Dan Sav and his children and her sister in the lord Mariana Brait from Romania; brother-in-law Dana and Trudy Hartle; sister-in-law Tami and Craig Dozier; sister-in-law Wendy and Jeff Hodges; and sister-in-law Shanna Hartle and their children.

I am so sorry to see of Daniela’s passing. My husband Kim had the pleasure of working with both Wade and Daniela at the factory. I remember him speaking so fondling of Daniela. He admired her strong work ethic and her ability to put the men around her in their place. Wade, hold your memories close as they will comfort you in the coming days. Sending prayers.

Daniella was a beautiful soul I am so greatful I had the honor of knowing her. She was always encouraging and loving. Her passion for God was like no other I’ve seen before. I will miss her sweet smile and presence and the sound of her “hallelujah “ at church! She’s one of the good ones and she will be greatly missed.

I do not think for a minute, Daniela entered heaven quietly. Reverently, kneeling with hands raised high, Daniela praised God with song.
The love for God's Word was shared by Daniela to all who visited with her; coming to her for prayer, or sat by her in church. Her inspiration lives on.

May God comfort and strengthen her husband, family and friends. It was a privilege to know her.
