Harrison Myers, 88, of Berthold, ND passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at his home in Berthold, ND.

Harrison S. Myers was born on June 29, 1935 to Ray and Stella Myers in Minot, ND. Harrison attended country school until the eighth grade when he left to work full time on the family farm. Harrison married Joan Bauer at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Tagus, ND on April 10, 1960.

The couple lived on the Birdsall-Meyer Ranch and farmed until moving to Manhattan, KS when Harrison’s National Guard unit was called up to train for deployment to the Berlin Crisis. While in Kansas the couple had their first son, Brad. They returned to North Dakota where they had their daughter, Andrea and another son, Mark. Together the couple began their lifelong dream of farming and ranching with their family near Tagus, ND.

Harrison enjoyed hunting and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. He loved meeting new people and highly respected those with honesty and sincerity. He would help anyone he thought truly needed help. Harrison loved being outdoors, travelling, and auction sales.

He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Minot, ND and an honorary member of the River of Life Church in Stanley, ND.

Harrison is survived by his eldest son Brad (Michelle) Myers of Minot, ND; daughter, Andrea (Randy) Anderson of Minot, ND; and youngest son, Mark Myers of Berthold, ND (who lives on the family farm that Joan’s grandfather homesteaded); grandsons, Shane (Ashley) Anderson and Kevin (Laura) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Alice, Colt, Barrett, and Max; two sisters; three brothers; and several nieces and nephews.

Harrison is preceded in death by both of his parents, Ray and Stella; wife, Joan Myers; nine siblings; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

My sincere condolences to the Myers family, Brad, Andrea, and Mark. My mom and Harrison were “brother and sister", as they shared the same birthday and year. Every year, Harrison would call my mom to say Happy Birthday. May God‘s peace comfort all during this time as we say, “We’ll see you later”

Condolences to the family of Harrison.
Was always a pleasure to have a conversation when we met, either on the street or in the hay fields.
