Jenee J. Metrick
January 12, 1977 - May 8, 2024

Place of Birth: Santa Clara, CA
Residence: Williston, ND
Age: 47

Jenee Metrick, 47, of Williston, ND passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 at her home in Williston, ND.

Jenee Joyce Metrick was born on January 12, 1977, to parents Beth Huff and Melvyn Metrick in Santa Clara, CA.

Starting her education in Sidney, MT, the family then moved to Mesquite, TX, returning to Sidney and graduating from Sidney High School with the class of 1996. She graduated from Williston State College with an associate degree in applied science.

She was employed by Quail Tools for the past 13 years. Enjoying her job and the people she worked with, describing them as her second family.

Following her mom’s lead, Jenee was an avid 49ers fan. On Sundays, without a doubt, you would find her and her mom watching them play and there was no talking allowed when their boys were on the big screen. Jenee had a loud laugh that would make it nearly impossible to not know where she was. Quick witted and ready to joke at any given time (if her 49ers weren’t playing). She loved music and if at a store, her mom and sister would always trail behind so they could enjoy watching her dance down the isles to songs over the speakers. Enjoying genealogy, anything relating to WWII, reading and especially loved her Harry Potter. Jenee, being caring and patient, was loved by any and all children she met and always made them feel loved as if they were her own.

While being a WWII fanatic, it was only fitting that Jenee and her mom took a vacation to Washington DC. While there, they visited many museums and toured the city. They even walked 6 blocks to what they thought was the nearest subway, only to get off a block and a half from where they had just walked from. Beth and Jenee also learned they weren’t quite ready to conquer the Arlington National Cemetery steps.

While she loved to travel, Hawaii was always number one. Jenee and her friend drove around an entire island in a convertible with the top down. She always wanted to return for another trip, so, we are sure her toes are already in the sand.

Jenee left an impression on everyone she met, and she will be greatly missed and will always be remembered for the kind and gentle soul she had and her ability to make you smile, even if you weren’t feeling like it.

She is survived by her mother, Beth Huff of Williston, ND; siblings, Jason Johnson of Fairview, MT, Joel (Melody) Metrick of Williston, ND, Jennifer Hernandez of Sidney, MT, Jodie (Thomas) Viara of Williston, ND, Lexi (Kyle Lester) Hernandez of Helena, MT; uncle, Bruce (Monika) Johnson of Laurel, MT. Jenee leaves behind many nieces and nephew; numerous cousins that she showed the ropes to. Jenee is also survived by her loving family at Quail Tools.

Jenee was preceded in death by her father, Melvyn Metrick, grandparents, Ordean and Joyce Johnson, John and Joyce Metrick; uncles, Michael Johnson, Kelly Johnson, Keith (Jayne) Johnson.

Oh sweet Jenee, my heart is broken for your family, co-workers and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I had the pleasure of working with you while in AP and spoke with a few weeks ago, as well as meeting you once last year. We were always on the hunt tracking down those FedEx bills :-) Many prayers to all who knew you and prayers you have found the Gates of Heaven and watching over all your loved ones. You will be greatly missed by the Quail Family! Fly high sweet Jenee, until we meet again.

Jenee was an absolute All Star at her job. How could Billing work when two separate offices are involved in different States? Jenee Metrick can show you!! Talking by phone everyday 3-4 times a day was normal, not hearing from Jenee anymore isn't. You are already missed my Dear Friend. My Condolences, and continued Prayers to her Family as well as her Quail Family.
