Grant Thor Halvorson, 39, of Williston, ND, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. It is with profound sadness that we announce his untimely death.

Born on August 9, 1983, Grant brought immeasurable joy and happiness to the lives of those around him. He possessed a vibrant spirit and a captivating personality. He cherished his role as a father, adoring his family and demonstrating unwavering love. Grant enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, engaging in family games, bringing laughter to all, and offering support to his friends. His interests included fishing, grilling, hunting, movies, and music.

During his early childhood in Mandan, ND, Grant would wrestle with his brothers, play basketball and soccer, and explore the town on his bicycle. His family later relocated to Minot, ND, where he attended
middle school, briefly moved to Fergus Falls, MN, and then returned to Mandan, ND in his high school years.

A few years after high school, Grant ventured to Black Canyon City, AZ and in 2009 he was blessed with a son, Michael. They moved to Williston, ND and in 2014 he was again blessed, this time with a
daughter, Abbygale. In 2017, he crossed paths with his future wife, Brittney Moe, while residing in Wellington, CO. They relocated to Williston, ND and were married in 2019.

Grant held various jobs before finding fulfillment in a position at McCody Concrete in Williston, ND. Since 2010, he dedicated himself to this role, finding joy and satisfaction in his work.

Grant’s legacy will forever be marked by his kindness, compassion, and profound love for his family and close friends. He touched the hearts of many, leaving an indelible imprint on the lives he encountered.

Let us treasure memories of his infectious laughter, his ability to illuminate any room, and the profound impact he had on our lives.

Grant was preceded in death by his grandparents Ethel and Thor Halvorson, and his grandparents Delores Miller and Frank Miller, and uncle Rodney Malafa, and cousins Charlie and Joel Bergland.

Grant is survived by his wife, Brittney Halvorson; children, Michael Halvorson and Abbygale Halvorson; mother, Mary Ann (Michael) Wetzell; father, Denny Halvorson; brothers, Cy O’Neill and Lance (Stephanie) Halvorson; niece Lily Halvorson.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and will live on in our hearts.

May Grant Thor Halvorson’s soul rest in peace. Let us remember him with love and compassion, cherishing the memories we shared together.
