Glenn “Merrill” Larson was born February 21, 1928, to Lars Peter Larson and Clara Amelia Larson. He was one of five children. Merrill attended school in Sidney and graduated in 1946. He mostly worked on the family farms but also worked at the US Forest Service, Holly Sugar, USDA Experiment Station, and part time at Farm and Home Supply in his later years. Merrill also served in the United States National Guard for two three-year terms.

Merrill married Eunice Lila Sundheim on April 14, 1952. To this union four children were born: Linda Jo Severson (Chris), Bruce Keith Larson, Larry Dean Larson, and Sharon Beth Jensen (Curt). Merrill was blessed with five grandchildren: Robert Eugene Severson (Heidi), Jason Merrill Severson (Trisha), Eva Dawn Novak (Lance), Kristi Jo Gaines, and Jacob Allan Jackson (Andrea); 10 great-grandchildren Hunter Severson (Aubrey), Sydnie Harrell (Jordan), Hudson Severson, Dylan Gaines, Kate Gaines, Shayden Jackson-Zietz, Emma Severson, Liam Gaines, Andrew (AJ) Jackson, and Beau Jackson; one great-great-grandson Summit Harrell and one on the way. Through marriage Merrill gained three step-grandchildren: Shaun Jensen (Michelle), Kory Jensen (Marta), and Kelsey Storer (Corby); and six step-great-grandchildren Parker Jensen, Allison Jensen, Grace Harper, Flynn Harper, Brecklyn Storer, and Raelyn Storer.

Merrill passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Sidney Health Center in Sidney, Montana.

Glen “Merrill” Larson was preceded in death by his wife Eunice, parents Lars and Clara Larson, Siblings Milton Larson, Wallace Larson, and infant brother, infant sister Bonnie Larson, and infant granddaughter Becky Severson.

Memorial Contribution
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brorson Church for a stained glass window in Merrill’s memory or to the Sunrise Manor in Savage for items needed for the residents.

What will the neighborhood be without a few wisecracks from our ever vigilant Merrill. He has always been a good neighbor and a good steward of his land. His hard work to raise his family was his joy. Faire thee well,
