Carolyn Sue Johnson, 78 passed away peacefully at the Bethel Lutheran Nursing & Rehabilitation Home in Williston, ND on October 22, 2024.

Carolyn was born on July 28, 1946 in Green Castle, IN to Norman and Jessie (Cornell) Bandy.

She married Terry Lynn Johnson on October 2, 1963. They had three sons, Shon, Troy and FaDon.

Carolyn worked for Woolworth in Williston, until they closed in 1992 as an Assistant Manager. She then went to work for Bethel Home as a Dietary Aide. She retired from Bethel Home after 29 years.

She loved to sew, snowmobile, fish and spend time with her kids and grandchildren. She especially loved to watch them play their sports.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Terry Johnson; mother, Jessie Marmon; fathers, Art Belgarde and Frank Marmon; and her daughter-in-law, Paula Johnson who held a very special place in her heart.

Carolyn is survived by her sons, Shon, Troy and FaDon; grandchildren, Jerami (Bekka) Johnson, Jessica (Sye) Zimmerman, Jaden Johnson and Tory Queensley; great-grandchildren, Beau, Maci, Lykan and one on the way.

She held a very special place in her heart for her niece, Lael (Alton) Myers (AKA Lady Godiva). Carolyn looked forward every day to her messages and little chats. She was especially close to Bekka (Erdman) Johnson, her grandson, Jerami’s wife.

Carolyn was loved by everyone that knew her and she will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss of your mom. She was a wonderful person. I am sure Paula welcomed her with open arms along with your dad, Aunt Jessie and Uncle Frank. Hugs and prayers go out to all of you at this time.
