Vinod Anand Chadalavada, of Watford City, North Dakota, passed away on December 9, 2024. He was 41 years old.

He was born in Vijayawada, India, on September 9, 1983, to Ravi and Sarada Chadalavada. His family made their way to Battle Creek, Michigan, where Vinod grew up alongside his older brother, Seetharam (Ram) Chadalavada, and attended Lakeview High School.

Vinod proudly attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he studied Biology and Economics and cultivated his lifelong love for all things Wolverine. Vinod went on to professional success as Vice President of Shangcheng USA Corporation & Real Estate Development in North Dakota, where he oversaw a wide range of development projects in North Dakota and Montana and devoted himself to bettering his community. He was incredibly hardworking and dedicated to thriving in all his endeavors.

Vinod had an inimitable personality, a wry sense of humor, and an encyclopedic knowledge of cars. Anyone who knew him could tell you tales about his charm, but what really set him apart was that he always prioritized the people in his life. Vinod was never too busy to listen to a friend in need and always had kind words to share. For Vinod, friends were an extension of his family and he was selfless and loyal in his regard for those he loved. To say that he will be missed is an understatement.

Vinod is survived by his parents and brother, sister-in-law, several aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, and especially his beloved nieces and nephews.
