Betty Lou Pepple, 93, of Plentywood, MT passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Plentywood Sheridan Nursing Home in Plentywood, MT.
Betty L. Pepple was born to Veronica and John Froeber on June 12, 1931 at Carrington, ND. She lived in various places growing up in Kenzel, Anamoose and Enderlin as her father was section foreman on the Soo Line Railroad. In 1940 they moved to Manfred ND where she attended grade school. She graduated from Harvey High School in Harvey, ND in 1949. She worked for Red Owl and Bergs before marrying Delaine Pepple in Fessenden, ND on November 16, 1949. They made their home in Fessenden and Harvey before moving to Tioga, ND in 1952. Then moved to Crosby, ND and Williston, ND where her husband was a truck driver for Westland Oil Co. They returned to Tioga in 1954 and since then have made their home.
She became a secretary for ABC Service Inc. in January 1975 and worked there until they sold out in June 1994. Her hobbies were making her own greeting cards, jig saw puzzles and playing on her computer.
She was a lifetime member of St. Thomas Alter Society, American Legion Auxiliary where she served as chaplin for many years along as a member of the Tioga Senior Citizens. She was diagnosed in 2015 with Parkinsons.
Recently residing at the Sheridan Memorial Nursing Home in Plentywood, MT where the Lord called her to Heaven on December 27, 2024.
Betty is survived by her son, Michael (Vivian) Pepple of Ray, ND; daughter, Jana (Marvin) Phillips of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Tony) Satter of Fargo, ND, Jessica (Tom) Baumgartner of Fargo, ND, Jason (Cassie) Skalicky of West Fargo, ND, Jeff Skalicky of Chicago, IL , Ryan (Katie) Pepple of Virginia Beach, VA; great-grandchildren, Drew, Cash, Channing, Caven, Paige, Ty, Ellie, Tom, GraceAnna, Andrew; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Veronica Froeber; husband, Delaine Pepple; daughter, Kathy Skalicky; son-in-law, Robert Skalicky; brothers, Don Froeber, Jerry Froeber; sisters-in-law, Gladys Ekrem, Violet Fleming, Virginia Froeber, Betsy Froeber; brothers-in-law, Louie Ekrem, Cliff Fleming; nieces, Janice Rhone, Marilyn Roll; great-granddaughter, Natalie Skalicky.
When God reached down and called her soul
Mom reached up knowing she had to go
With strong faith and no fear one final
look back Mom said bye to us with a tear.
