Milo Karsten Borg passed away at Sidney Health Center with family by his side February 18, 2025.
Milo was born June 4, 1937, at Community Memorial Hospital in Sidney to Karsten and Margaret Stovick Borg. Milo grew up on the family farm northwest of Fairview in the Noley community. Milo went to the Noley grade school through the 8th grade. Milo skipped graduation to go drive the tractor. Milo farmed and ranched there. A very special time was when the Kenny Rindahl family lived and worked out there with Milo for 10 years. Milo was a white tail deer outfitter for 10 years before he retired and moved to Sidney. Milo was in the Army Reserves for 8 years.
Milo married Ruth FitzSimmons September 18, 1981, at the Faith Alliance Church in Sidney. Milo attended church there since he was a teenager.
Milo enjoyed flying his airplane, checking the pasture and cattle and going other places. Milo enjoyed traveling by car, rodeos, bowling, country and gospel music, watching TV and afternoon coffee with family and friends. Oh and going to Lutefisk dinners.
Those that knew Milo would say he had a bright smile, was kind, enjoyed conversation and fellowship, and loved the Lord.
Milo is survived by his wife, Ruth; sister Marlene Senner; brothers Lars (Vickie) Borg and John (Georgia) Borg; niece Kristen (Kirk) Miller; nephew Anton Borg; Ruth’s daughter Christine Leary and family; and numerous in-laws and cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Karsten and Margaret; in-laws Lawrence and Ann Olson; brother-in-law Malcom Senner; Ruth’s son Mark FitzSimmons; and a few cousins and friends.
