December 20, 1954 - March 18, 2025

Place of Birth: Culbertson, Montana
Residence: Livingston, Montana formerly of Culbertson, Montana
Age: 70

Dennis L. Lambert, 70, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana. Dennis Lee was born to Clarence and Emma (Moran) Lambert on December 20, 1954, in Culbertson, Montana. Dennis attended school in Culbertson, graduating high school in 1973. While in school Dennis played football and basketball.

After graduation Dennis attended the College of Forestry & Conservation in Missoula, Montana. Following graduation, he worked for the forest service in the Pryor Mountains. Dennis also worked in the gold mines in Elko, Nevada.

Dennis was a skilled carpenter and took great pride in his work. This experience led him to various construction jobs in Trenton, North Dakota with the Housing Authority. He also worked as a carpenter and held positions as a steel siding specialist in Bozeman, Missoula, and Livingston, Montana.

Due to a job-related injury, Dennis went back to college in Billings to obtain his CAD certification. From this knowledge he was able to obtain a position at a printing company in Livingston. Many times throughout his life, Dennis worked as a ranch hand and later operated equipment for the Fisher Sand, And Gravel Company out of Livingston.

On January 9, 1999, Dennis married Kathleen Rumsey in Livingston, where they made their home. Dennis and Kathleen spent time enjoying the beauty of western Montana, often traveling to visit friends and attending many family functions throughout the state. Dennis was an avid reader and history buff! He enjoyed the challenge of completing his daily crossword puzzles. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing with his older brothers. And if you ever made a call to Dennis, he would answer by saying, “Hello in There!”

Dennis was a lifelong member of the Culbertson Saddle Club. Whenever possible, he would participate in the annual Trail Rides that were held each September over the Labor Day weekend. He participated in the “M89 Ride,” a cattle drive from Roundup to Billings. From these experiences, Dennis became a true friend to many who knew and loved him.

Dennis is survived by his wife Kathleen; stepsons Chris (Leslie), Colton, Tom (Holly) and their children Jennifer, Joshua, and Jacob; Abe (Tessa) and their children Lauren and Izack; brothers Verle (aka Bee), Larry (Monica), and Richard; sister Dolly; and brother-in-law, Rolland Raaum. Dennis is also survived by his godson, Dylan Martin, and many nieces, nephews, and friends, who will remember him to be a man with a quick wit and would give his shirt off his back to whomever needed it.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Emma; brothers Joseph, Andy, and Allen; sisters Phoebe Larsen, Carol Ann Schroeder, and Bernie Raaum; sisters-in-law, Betty Lambert and Vonnie Lambert; brothers-in-law, Arlie Larsen and Paul Schroeder; nephews, Joseph Lambert and Joshua Schwarzkopf; and niece, Kathy Larsen.

Dennis was always a good friend. He was kind, funny and caring. My childhood and young adult memories of him, and the Lambert Family will always be part of what made growing up in Culbertson so fun! Praying for all his family. He was a terrific person and will be missed here on Earth. Love you all. Laurie
